(1) AIMING SECRETS OF THE PROS COURSE
THE FAST LARRY POL AIM METHOD
2 hour course $200
This is the course everyone wants. The super inside aiming secrets of
the pros. You all know they have them and they are never revealed to
you. FL takes the actual aiming secrets of the 3 all time greatest
players of all time, the ones with all the high runs and most world
professional
championships, Willie Hoppe, Willie Mosconi, and Ralph Greenleaf. FL
will teach you how they aimed and the inside secrets to their
astonishing success. FL combines these with his own discoveries and
puts it all together with the ultimate course that will allow you to
now aim like a pro. Once you implement these techniques, your game
will raise one full level in a very short period of time and
practice. Once you learn how to line up your head and eyes correctly
for the first time you will be rolling in shots you never made
before. This is the course that can make you a champion. If you
can’t aim a rifle correctly you can’t hit anything. It is the same in
pool. Once you have the Aim secrets of the pros, they do not want you
to know about, you can play up to any level you can now imagine. You
will use three different stroke training devices and lasers to show
you how to line up shots.
14 courses are offered so you can perfect each area of your game, one
at a time. Most are 2 hours long and the rates run from $50 to $150.
To view all the details and prices on them, go into www.fastlarrypool.com
and open the lessons tab on the left, or ask Larry for a printed
catalog. 45 hours of instruction that would turn your game into a
professional tour level player.
All lesson fees must be paid for in cash when the lesson begins. No
checks or credit cards unless they are arranged well in advance.
PayPal is accepted and takes any credit card.
THE COURSES: Aim secrets, All day basics, Team lesson, Draw, Follow,
Break & Lag, Hustling proposition shots, Playing lesson, Banking,
English, Position play, Drills, Trick shot and artistic, jump shots
and masses.
FL is one of only a few master levels teachers in the country. He is
known as a high end finisher, the one pros come to when they are in
trouble. He can tear down a pros game and put it back together. Most
of his lessons are APA 6’s wanting to be 7’s and 7’s wanting to be
semi pros and semi pros wanting to be real pros. He can put you on
the big tour fast if that is what you want.
He also enjoys working with lower ranked league players, or even raw
beginners, kids, or the ladies. Get your basics right and solid in
the beginning and you will always play well.
FL has students coming in that only need a few tweaks here and there
on their basics and he spends more time with them on cue ball control
and advanced techniques. Others have everything wrong, and everything
has to be changed because they are doing nothing right. That total
over haul becomes a long term quest and it will takes months and many
lessons to bring that guy around.
Once you have completed an all day lesson, or completed at least two
courses, you will be considered a regular student and you will be
given special lower prices on your future courses you book. The more
courses you take, the lower the prices keep going down for you, to
reward you for your loyalty and your commitment to become a
champion.
You may go on to www.poolchat.net There are 1,500 members there, and
quite a few have taken the FL all day lesson. Ask what they are like
there, and they will tell you how fast they advanced. Everyone goes
up one full level after the all day course within a month. This is
the one that actually gives results.
If you have spent years grooving a bad swing, it does not UN groove
over night. Every student will advance at different rates of
progress, but they all will have success in the end, if they keep the
faith and stay with the lessons and teachings. We promise, guarantee
you miraculous results beyond your wildest dreams but this takes time
and you have to work and practice to have it all.
Many serious real inside secrets of the pros are finally revealed to
you. The Greenleaf golden angle method, the get close to your work
concept, the secret of speed control, his aiming secrets, all of which
were taught to Willie Mosconi which made him the greatest ball runner
of all time.
Sang Lee, a 3-cushion champion and genius FL has played many times
said to learn how to play well and to know what you are doing you will
have to put in 32 hours with him in private instruction and coaching.
But pool is much more complicated that 3-c having several games to
learn and the break shots. The courses I present to you here would
suggest you putting in about 45 hours before you have it all. Lee was
totally correct and that is why we have laid all this out in courses
so you can choose which ones you take. This is why we do not offer
the 45 minute or 1 hour lesson. That is a waste of your time and
money.
Nobody can teach you how to play pool in an hour. If they tell you
they can, they just robbed you. If you want to learn, then do the all
day at least once, twice is best, then every other week come back and
take one of the courses. The minimum would be one course a month.
The best would be a course every two weeks. Keep coming until you have
completed all of them. You find a teacher, a coach, and you learn it
all from that single person. That will make you a champion in record
time. The average golfer takes about 15 lessons a year and a Tennis
player 30. They know in order to learn and advance; teaching is long
term and an ongoing affair. The average pool player never takes a
lesson, and if he does its one and he expects to get it all in one
hour. You cannot learn any sport, in an hour. To learn to play the
piano or get a black belt in Karate, you take weekly lessons for five
years.
Depending on where we are holding the school, some rooms will donate
the time for the table so the lesson fee listed is all you pay. Some
won’t, so you should ask in advance, and you pay us for the lesson
fee, and the room for the table time.
If you are not in the lesson, you are not welcome to sit and watch it
for free. You will have to move away from the table if we request
it. Many of our concepts are secret and only taught by us. We do not
give them away for free.
If you are worried they won’t work for you, I can assure you they work
for 99.9% of the students who took them. We work very hard, for your
lesson to succeed and we are generous with our time and patience.
We prefer private lessons, but we will teach two if they want to split
the fee’s, or 3 or 4, but when you add people to the lesson, you half
the lesson and what we are able to cover. And try to keep everyone on
the same general skill level. If you are an Apa 7 and you bring in
your wife who is an APA 2, I can’t go any faster than she will learn,
and you just trashed your end of the lesson. You should take your own
lesson, and book her with me privately. Never try and teach your wife
or your kid to drive, or play pool. Let a pro do that for you.
Be on time. If your lesson is for 2 hours and begins at 2 and you
arrive at 2:15, your new lesson is 1:45. If FL is late 15 minutes,
you get an extra 30. For those of you who are local and live in FL’s
home town, he recommends you pick out a course that will solve your
current greatest need or problem. If the lesson succeeds and you
derive an increase in your performance then book another course next
week and keep taking a different course every week or every other week
until you become an area champion. FL will make you a great player.
If you have dreams of every playing this game well and becoming a run
out player, FL will give you that dream. You want to string racks
together; we will give you that skill. First, you have to dare to
dream, then, get off your duff and act now, book now, do not put this
off, or for you, snooze and you lose, and tomorrow never comes. Here
is how easy this is, dial 404-840-7106 and say, book me FL.
For lessons being scheduled into the future, especially bookings on
all day lessons, we will require a deposit to confirm your lesson
unless you are a known person or prior student with a history with
us. We can’t have you book an all day next week as a total stranger,
then no show and blow an entire days work for us. You have to put a
small deposit down using PayPal which is your sign of good faith and
confirms your date. You then pay the balance of your lesson fee in
cash, when you arrive. You can mail a check in to us or you can drop a
check usually off at the front desk for us, but let us set that up
first. You can give us a cash deposit and we give you a written
receipt. You can cancel within 24 hours of your date and get a full
refund. No show, or cancel after then, and your deposit are
forfeited.
Never worry about money with us. We are a BCA business member and
have attended every BCA trade show for 16 years. We are a power
seller on EBay since 2003 and have a rare 100% perfect customer
satisfaction rating, our name is flepool2003, look it up. We are not
some fly by night operation or some roadie rolling through town trying
to rip you off with his latest secret tip. Our record of honest and
fair dealings is out there to be verified.
Knowledge is power and the more knowledge FL teaches you, the more
powerful your game will become. He will show you that most of these
power shots you see the pros perform and you are in awe of, he can
teach you to do. Most do not require special talent, skill or
strength. Most of you will be doing them when you learn the inside
secrets to them which is acquired knowledge and learned special
techniques.
If FL has traveled into your town to teach and won’t be here for long,
or you are planning to fly into see him, then most opt to book a full
day lesson and many even book 2 or 3 days. You are paying money to
come in and you should spend as much time as you can with him.
FL recommends you filming the lesson, and for you to play it back
several times a week, until you have watched it 8 times over a period
of a month, then you will achieve full memory retention of what you
were taught. To be sure you can watch your tape and hook it up to
your computer or TV, its best you bring in and set up your own
camera. Be sure to bring enough tapes, a battery, remote control and
a tripod. FL will have a power cord waiting. It’s best to film on
AC.
If you want FL to furnish a camera, be sure you can deal with and
convert the DV tapes when you get home. There will be no charge for
the camera, but you will have to pay for the actual cost of the tapes
used. An all day lesson might be $35 in tapes, so keep this cost in
mind before you ask for the lesson to be taped. Bring extra cash to
pay for the tapes. We do not mark up our cost on the tapes.
All of your basics will be shot with a state of the art high end
digital still camera. You will be able to see how you stand, what
your grip looks like. When we make changes you will be able to see
and decide which ones you like the best, your old one, or your new
one. Copies of these pictures will be sent to your email.
Fl is a graduate of the BCA teaching school. He was ranked as a
Billiards Expert by Mike Shamos in Billiards Digest, one of only 20 in
the world. He was the coach of the Ga Tech University yellow jacket
pool team and taught courses there on billiards there for four years.
He has written books, produced DVD’s, writes columns in pool magazines
and runs 5 web sites. He plays on the world UPA 9 ball tour and has
ranked 35th in the world.
He is a former TASA world trick shot champion and tours the world
performing artistic shows and clinics. His teaching credentials are
second to none. He has performed on prime time TV on every major TV
network, booking more prime time in the late 90’s than any other male
pool pro. You have seen him play on ESPN USA and Asia, and on the
premier of the Ripley’s Believe it or Not show and many others. He
has been on the cover of 8 pool magazines. He has been written about
in every pool magazine, worldwide. He has been in over 400 newspapers
and been seen or read about on 5 continents; in 70 countries he has
performed three around the world tours. Minnesota Fats was first to be
seen by a billion people. FL and Mike Massey, were both the first in
pool, to have been either seen on TV, or read about by 2 billion
people.
FL has been teaching professionally for 16 years and has had over
3,000 all day lessons. His experience is 2nd to none.
He can take your entire league team and train them to become winners.
He will offer you a competitive team rate. Back in the early 90’s he
was a APA 7, won 6 division and 2 city championships in Atlanta,
Georgia before the APA turned him pro.
He can take any league player, never show them a thing about their
basics and stroke, but work with them for a couple of hours on
strategy and they will go up one full level overnight. He can show you
how to win and how to play smart. He is considered controversial and
brilliant. His lesson is totally unlike anyone you have every taken.
Many have gone to the top 3 or 4 teachers and never found it and were
sent home with lousy draws and follows, but when they found FL, they
reached all of their goals. Fl sends no one home, without what they
came for. You will succeed in your lesson, or FL will stay there all
night until you do. He will not turn loose of you, until you have
it.
FL taught snooker and 3-cushion at Ga Tech University for four years,
find one of those tables and he will teach you at that place. He can
also come to your home and teach you on your table. Depending on
where you live, there may be a small extra traveling fee added on and
this is only offered for a half or full day lesson. If his travel
time is an hour to get to you, and hour to get back, he has to add
something for his gas and extra travel time.

(2) THE All DAY POOL LESSON
One half day. 3.5 hours $275
Full day 7.0 hours $475
90% of FL’s lessons have been the full day. The people, who seek him
out, want it all. We recommend 14 hours, 2 full days. Some do three
days.
You can run the lesson. Have it any way you want it to go. Tell FL
what you want to learn in the order you want it. There are some who
want to control everything and they are happier in this mode. This
type of student will do a lot of talking and FL will listen. They run
the lesson saying, show me this, show me that. They can have it their
own way, no problem. They are afraid FL will miss something, which he
never does.
Most will just trust FL to run the lesson and cover all the bases.
This student will talk very little and listen a lot. FL wants you to
provide a list of the things you want to learn and improve on that you
would be happy if you got them in the amount of time that you booked.
In a half day lesson you might list 5 or 6, and all day might have
10. FL will insure, all of your goals, time permitting will be
addressed and learned and if those are not on his lesson plan, they
will be added in. List them in your order of priority because he
might only have time to knock out the first 8 of the 10 on your
list.
So far, he has completed every goal on every list presented to him.
And so far, everyone has been reasonable with their lists. People
learn at different rates and come to us with different skills. A slow
thinking beginner, might take 3 times longer to teach, than a fast
thinking advanced player. We can only teach as fast as you can go and
we do not push anyone.
If you don’t have the time to do the all day, and then begin with the
half day, then come back and do another all day later. To go over
everything we want to teach you and you need to know and learn will
take 14 hours, two full day lessons. They your basics will be as
solid as any pro. After that, then you should come back and begin
doing each one of the courses every two weeks, until you have done
them all. Then you will have a monster stroke and you will have
become a champion. You must remember that you must log in 32 hours
minimum until you will have all the knowledge for all this to connect
into one system. 45 hours until you have all the strokes and shots.
Then you will have more knowledge, than any pro out there.
This is why you should not go from teacher to teacher, because you get
all this data that does not connect into any full method and you end
up with paralysis by analysis and confusion. Stay with one teacher
and coach. When the student is ready, the teacher shall appear.
Our principle is also to never give up on any one. We insist, if you
never give up on you, neither will we. If we show it to you, then we
know you can do it and we will stay with you until you get it. For
some, that might be 10 snaps, for another, 100. We do not waste your
time doing drills or repeating the same shot 20 times like the other
teachers do. Once you get it, understand it, how it works, have done
it perfect, we sit down, close our eyes, imprint it, and move on to
the next task. You go home and drill and repeat it over and over, on
your time. There you perfect it. With us, all you do is learn it, to
take it home.
Other teachers are doing everything out of a book. Every lesson is
the same. They waste your time and money going over things you
already know. FL never does two lessons the same; everyone is totally
different from another one. Because no two players are the same and
each one have different needs and problems. FL is like a doctor, you
come to him with a problem, bad game, bad stroke, you are sick. FL
examines your entire body and finds your flaws. He is the best, at
finding your swing problems the other top teaching pros miss, because
he knows how and where to look to find them. He runs several tests
that uncover your aim and stroke problems. Then when he knows what is
wrong, he writes you a prescription of how to get well, and he goes to
work curing you of what ails you.
FL is big on basics, getting your basics right, solid, close to
perfect. Get great basics and you will be a great player all of your
life. That is how Golf is taught.
He finds, most have stances they were taught or they got off TV or out
of a book that do not hang and align the cue properly over the eyes.
This is actually uncomfortable to the student, but he eventually got
used to it. These bad teachers have this… it’s my way or the
highway. You will stand this way, grip this way and FL knows that
messes a lot of people up.
Enter the natural pool concept. FL guides you to let you actually
find your natural stance, on your own, that works, feels great, and
finally the cue lines up right. Many tell him, that was the way I
played when I first started, but this guy in this lesson changed me
over.
He will show you there are many different ways to stand, and grip the
cue, and he will teach you a dozen different bridges.
The stroke is the heart of the game and FL spends a lot of time here,
using 3 different stroke trainers to teach you a stroke as pure as
Buddy Halls. He can sell you these trainers also. He will teach you
the Ralph Greenleaf 4 bridge lengths method which is the secret to
distance control. Lasers will be used to show you how to aim and see
contact points. When he gets done with you, your stroke will be dead
straight and pro level. Wobbles, off line set ups, bad grips, all will
be corrected. You will be taught a shorter bridge and a longer follow
through. You will learn how to keep the tip on the Cue ball, rather
than let it glance off which will double the English you will now be
putting on the ball. Your power will simply explode.
Here is another one you will not believe. In his 3,000 lessons, he
found, 99% could not hit the center of the cue ball. In fact, few
even know where that is. This means on every shot, you are putting on
unwanted or unknown English that throws the ball off the path you aim
it at. FL corrects the things that causes this, and teaches you to be
a ball roller and not a ball skidder like most of you have been taught
wrong to do. Many report back this single thing, did wonders for
their games and it was their key flaw. Once they got those 2 simple
things right their games went through the roof.
In the all day lesson, FL covers it all. How to use English like a
pro. He goes into patterns, and the super secret position drills only
he teaches. You get the FL POL AIM secrets, the no no zone concepts
which shows you how to never scratch another cue ball, the RHCLD and
the Drill of Doom, which are his trademark super secret position
drills.
You will set up a almost straight in shot into the side pocket, and he
can show you how to go right or left, and hit every square inch on
that half of the table, pot the object ball in the side pocket and put
the cue ball to stop on every diamond there, or in-off or scratch in
any of the 4 pockets, in other words, put the cue ball anywhere on
demand, and this is not a joke, it is for real, using no English, no
side, hitting the cue ball along the center line each time. Everyone
considers this impossible, but it’s not and FL has taught these
systems to a number of touring pros. This is the method Allison
Fisher used when she came over and wiped out the women’s’ tour with
it.
Time permitting we finish up working on the break and playing
challenge matches so we work on your strategy and shot selection.
Every single thing you need to know is covered, we do not miss
anything. The amount of knowledge you get here is enormous, some call
it an information dump, so much, it’s almost an over load. You get so
much more, because FL knows so much more than these other teachers.
You just got a partial list of what is in this lesson. Having
performed 3,000 all day lessons over a 16 year period of time has
gained FL this vast experience. He knows what you want to learn and
how to teach it to you. He has learned what works, what does not and
how to get it across to you. He has perfected this lesson down to a
science where 99% of them are a total success.
2 or 3 a year do fail and it’s because the student comes in, knowing
more than his teacher, has a bad attitude, won’t shut up, knows it
all, wants’ this, but won’t do that funky crap he never hear of and he
walks away unhappy. If I teach this jerk what he already knows and
accepts, he will be happy and think I am a good teacher. All I would
have to do is read to him out of the Bob Byrne book and he would love
it. So we will not kiss your ass just to get through a lesson. If you
kill the lesson, we will let you.
But, anyone who comes in with an open mind, follows our directions,
will succeed and will go away happy. We will explain to you how and
where pool has been taught wrong to you. The reason why you do not do
a lot of things right or good, is you were not a bad player, you just
had a bad teacher with a flawed method that did not work.
We will prove to you the ghost ball aiming system does not work, but
we will show you how to make it work. We will teach you how to draw
the ball like the other instructors teach you to follow the ball. We
will teach you how to follow the ball like they teach you how to draw
the ball. The exact opposite. And, we will prove our methods are
better. You will be taught there are 4 strokes in pool, not one, and
all the pros drop their elbow and we show you how to. You will get
the super secret stroke method of Joe Davis, the normal swing, and the
FL grip it and rip it methods.
The secret way the pros use the claw grip on the cue that eliminates
all twist and aligns the wrist straight and increases your power.
We accept and want you to ask questions, or even challenge or ask why
we do it this way?
Each new concept we teach you, we will totally prove to you it works,
and you will do it and then have to agree our method is better. If
our draw method allows you to draw twice as far as before, then that
one is a slam dunk, and that is how we do it, one at a time, with you
following on a leap of faith on each one. When you sign off, we move
on.
You will get the 17 inner secrets of the game no pro wants’ you to
know about. You will get many new secrets that do not appear in any
book, on any DVD and are not taught by anyone but us. This is the
ultimate pool lesson. Nobody even comes close to this one. It is
priced right; everyone else is charging more for an all day session
than we are.
((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((***))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
(3) THE TEAM LESSON
7.0 hours on the weekend $475.00 shared be the entire team.
Get your entire league team to commit to become winners. No sports
teams have every player with a different system or way to think. They
want them all working out of the same playbook, and they listen to the
same coach and have a single method. Pool teams fail because of this
lone wolf approach that goes nowhere. Get them all together for the
above full day lesson they can do on the weekend. I will increase
each one of their games up at least 25%. Each player, will win 25%
more games because of what I teach them. I will stop them from
scratching, and selling out, from shooting the wrong shots, and I will
teach them how to play smart, when to shoot, when to duck and how to
stop choking. I will clean up all their basics and straighten out
their strokes. Seven players would only pay $67 for the entire 7 hour
day.
$67, they will blow that in a bar on Saturday night chasing some
floozy.
They probably don’t listen to your captain now, but they will listen
and learn from me.
Somebody has to organize and make this one happen, or tomorrow never
comes. The captain has to sell it, and collect the 67 in advance,
never let them pay when they come, or half won’t show, and get them
all to commit to a date. When the captain has the entire lesson fee,
he calls me and books the lesson and he makes a non refundable deposit
in my PayPal account of $100 to confirm the lesson, and $375 cash on
arrival. Even if only 5 on the team committed, it would only be $95
for the day. That is still affordable for everyone. If you guys want
to learn how to be winners, I can show you how.
I have been there, done all that. I won 6 division and two city
championships in Atlanta. I will share the secrets that made that
possible. I have been an APA 7, and Vegas captain. This makes FL the
ultimate league team teacher.
(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((***))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
(4) THE DRAW COURSE
1.5 Hour course $100
FL can teach a total beginner who has never had a cue in their hand
before to draw table length in 10 minutes. He will guarantee you he
will increase your draw power, distance and control or the lesson is
free. 85% of the students in this class, will have their draw power,
doubled in less than 10 minutes.
Most of you have a draw that comes and goes. When it goes, you have
no idea why. When it works, you really have no control on where the
cue ball stops. You are plagued with inconsistency and frustration.
That is because the method you were taught is all wrong. FL will
explain to you how it actually works so you will perform the draw
every time without fail. Your cue ball control will amaze you. $100
gives you a new draw, equal to any pro. FL’s method works with
everyone and never fails. For many, you will find this FL method is
the exact opposite of how you were taught to draw. FL exposes all of
this bad teaching and gives you a method you can run with and make
work every time.
FL say’s that 90% of the players he see’s have a draw method that does
not work well. This is not your fault. You were sold a faulty method
that teaches the draw wrong.
The draw method we teach is the draw method that all the great players
and world champions have used for over a century including Jake
Schaefer, Jimmy Caras, Ralph Greenleaf, Willie Mosconi and Willie
Hoppe. It works like magic. You will not believe the power this will
give you.
FL will teach you power force draws that will make the hair on the
back of your neck stick up. Many of you will be able to now shoot down
table 8’, pot a ball, and draw back up table 9’ without touching a
rail. FL gives to you, all the inside secrets of the draw only the
pros know about and use. FL has had one of the top 5 biggest and
strongest draws on the pool tour or in the trick shot world for
decades. He holds draw power world records. Fl has drawn a cue ball
4 table lengths. Nobody can teach this shot better, than FL. Bob
Byrne wrote, FL’s 17” right arm, is the biggest cannon in the game.
He is King Kong. He has one of the biggest strokes of all time. FL
say’s the power did not come from all muscles, it came from power
secrets and special techniques taught to him, he will now pass on to
you.
((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((***))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
(5) THE FOLLOW COURSE
1.5 hour course $100
The lesson is free if he can’t have your follow power, increased sub
stanchly or even doubled in less than 10 minutes. Once FL shows you
how to power through the ball you won’t believe how bad you were
hitting it, compared to how much power he now gives you. You are
jumping the cue ball now and don’t know it which is your power leak.
He can double your drive power by teaching you how to keep the tip on
the cue ball longer at impact.
FL says that if you play on 7’ bar boxes this course is an absolute
must. He will show you how to stop trying to draw the ball which does
not perform well on that table and the bar box cue ball and play using
mostly follows, stuns and slides. You will now have total control of
your cue ball for the first time ever.
Those of you who play on big tables think you have a good follow
shot. FL says 90% of you don’t unless you have taken a lesson on it
from a real pro. FL has all the follow and drive secrets from all the
greatest 3-cushion players, Willie Hoppe and Raymond Ceulemans and
that game is totally about driving and following the cue ball using
lots of English. 99% of the pros do not know or use these inside
secrets FL will teach you. This will take your power with the cue
ball and your control and mastery of it to a new dimension you will
love.
Learn how to shoot table length, using 3 tips of loaded English, and
totally defeat and eliminate deflection and squirt. Be able to power
the ball around the table using the force follow. You do not have
these shots, because the methods given to you were all wrong. The FL
method, will be the exact opposite most of you were taught. The
results, will simply astound you.
FL holds most of the power world records in the game, being first to
hit and prove the world’s first 10 and 11 rail bank, then 11 rail
shots left handed, and he is the only one to ever hit a 12 rail bank.
The secrets of his great power, will be given to you. They came
directly from Shoeless Joe Jackson to Sam Parks to Babe Ruth to Jimmy
Ballard to FL and now they can be yours.

(6) THE BREAK AND THE LAG COURSE
2 hours minimum $150 Learn to break at a single game, 8 ball, 9
ball, or 14.1.
4 hours $250 Learn to break at two games, most choose 8 & 9 ball.
6 hours $350 Learn to break at three games, and have the time to
master them all.
The most important shot in pool is first the lag, then the break. Fl
will teach you how to win the lag flipping 100% of the time, and
lagging 95%. He will take your break to new heights you did not dream
to be possible.
8 ball
8 ball, you learn how to break safe to scramble the rack when playing
a top player.
How to make the power break where you make 2 on the break almost every
snap and equally power spread and move the balls around the table
leaving a easy run out table, leaving 8 down table and 7 up table.
The secret to running racks and running over weaker opponents.
FL makes 7 on the break with this one about every 2 months and has
been doing this for decades. You can see him make 7 on the break on U
tube, just punch in fast larry.
This is the break FL set the 8 ball world record using when he made 8
balls on the snap in 1961. A record that has held and been untied,
unbroken now for 48 years. A record that will probably stand for all
time. FL will show you how to rack so when you make two balls they
are usually stripes and you only have 5 stripes to run to get on the 8
ball.
Master the 8 ball side break where FL can show you how to make the 8
ball in a side called pocket one out of 7 snaps and win the game on
the snap. FL has done it twice in a row, one of his students 3 times
in a row. Making it 1 out of 10 will be possible for everyone to now
do.
((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((***)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
9 BALL
9 ball has many breaks. You will learn the classic pro power break
off of the left long rail. When it’s on you make 2 or 3 on the snap
and play shape on the 1 ball going up table.
The Corey Deuel soft control break from that same position. Force the
corner ball, pot the 1 in the side, but get a shot on the 2. It is
like stealing when it’s done right.
FL’s secret 9 ball break that will work wonders for you. How to make
a ball or two every time, forcing the corner but getting a spread and
a run out table breaking from the end rail.
The secret FL spin break, and how to make the 9 in the left corner
pocket a lot. FL has made the 9 this way 4 times in a row and a
couple of his students have done it 6 times in a row. You keep moving
the 9 over there and when it does not go in, you attack it winning the
game in a short rack. The ultimate way to gamble and make winning
look lucky.
The Wimpy Lassiter jump double collision break. The one FL set the 9
ball world record with in 1961, making 9 balls on the break. A record
that has held and been untied, unbroken now for 48 years. A record
that will probably stand for all time. This is a record that can only
be tied, it can never be broken. FL is the only teacher that knows or
can teach this break.
Learn how to break, from the greatest breaker of all time. The break
legend, FL.
You will learn all the secrets of the rack and how to place the balls
to insure certain things happen. How to rack by hand, not using a
rack. How to eliminate gaps and to rack perfect every time. You will
train using the break Ray training device and you will stop scratching
the cue ball on the break.
You will be given new break techniques and secrets you will not
believe. Most of you think you have a good break. Most of you are
wrong, you don’t have a clue, and neither does 80% of the pros. You
all think smashing the rack hard is the answer. It is not. Breaking
poorly is what holds most of you back from advancing. When FL teaches
you the pro breaks, your game will take off because you will begin
getting tables you can run out from. He will teach you accuracy and
how to find the center of the one ball using his POL aiming system.
His method of how to aim the cue ball is totally revolutionary and
nobody else is teaching it but FL.
This is a very long, complex and hard lesson involving a lot of work
and force. For those of you taking more than one session, take this
one first; never last, as it can wear you out.
You learn how to break using secrets that you have never seen before
in any book or in any DVD. Take this course and your break results
will literally double.
(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((***))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
(7) HUSTLERS PROPOSITION SHOTS
$100 an hour, two hour minimum.
This is the one where you say: I’ll bet you I can make this shot. A
proposition bet is what it is called. You have all had these worked
on you in the past, and seen them in books. Most are sort of lame.
For these to work, first, you have to have the shot mastered so you
can’t miss it. It has to look so hard; they can’t see how you can
make it. Then they will bet on it. Some will bet out of curiosity,
just wanting to see it.
This is the course; everyone needs to take, because it pays for its
self in no time. Then it begins making you serious money.
You are presented with over 50 shots that are all winners. Even if
you have been a roadie out hustling, we guarantee you there are over
25 in this collection you have never seen before. Hustles you cannot
lose from. You will never buy another beer in any bar or pool hall as
long as you live. So if you just hustle 3 beers a night, costing $4
each, and you are 20 years old, in your life time this course will
make you $87,600. If you begin to gamble money on these shots, they
would make you a small fortune. They put FL through college and
bought him a new car, they can for you also.
This course pays for its self in the first month. Just take the 5
shots you like the most, and go bet them up, that is all there is to
it.
You are trained how to set the mark up, the patter to the lead in, how
to line up the shot and make it and how to hustle suckers for serious
money.
The most knowledgeable most experienced man in pool, who has seen and
knows everything, is the writer for Billiards Digest, Mike Shamos. He
came up to FL at the BCA trade show and said, show me something I have
never seen before. FL set up one of the course shots, where he would
shoot the ball out of mid air, using no cue, and not using his hands,
arms, legs or feet and jump the cue ball over 5 rows of balls and hit
2 balls covered with a hanky, then he would make 10 balls in 4
pockets, blindfolded in rotation. Shamos bet on the shot and FL made
it. This shot was so unbelievable, they put it on the premier of
Ripley’s Believe it or not prime time TV show and FL made it on the
first snap in front of a live audience. Jaw dropping shots is what
makes real money. Here is where you get them.
So if you want shots, nobody has seen, or will believe, FL has them
for you. You get diagrams of each shot you will work on. You need a
lot of shots because once you expose one in a place and win on it,
that shot is dead there. You have to come back in, with something
new, they can get their money back on. And you just keep plucking
these pigeons. You begin with a simple shot, and keep coming back
with a harder one to keep them betting.
It could take a couple of days to get down and learn all 50 in the
course, so begin taking the lesson with the time and money you have to
spend. Once it begins making you money, then come back for more until
you have all 50. You will always have lots of cash in your pockets
and you will never be broke again.
If you want to hustle pool, there are two ways, the slow dumb way
playing sets trying to beat people as good or better than you winning
maybe 50 60% of the time, You have to practice 8 hours a day and it
takes you a decade until you can get good enough to make money. Be
smart, hustle chumps with proposition shots, which is fast and easy
and you win 99% of the time. You are making money in a few weeks, you
practice very little, and you do the math.
You master a good hustle that pays the rent on these shots, before you
ever think about trying to make money for a living using just skill at
pool. You will bust out doing this, and these shots will refinance
you and get a stake back up and you back in action fast. Without
these, you will be flipping burgers for months sleeping in the back
seat of your car. You can go out and maybe learn half these shots in
about 10 or 15 years on the road, or you can have them all from FL in
two days time.
Learn how to hustle pool with the guy who actually grew up playing
with Fast Eddy, Minnesota Fats and Omaha Fat. Who played at Johnson
City, hung around Titanic Thompson and who has seen it all? This one
is the real deal, no con.
(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((***))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
(8) THE PLAYING LESSON
2 hour minimum $100
4 hours $200
This is very popular in Golf. You see these all the time on the Golf
Channel on cable. They do them, because they work. You have to stop
the traditional lesson, and put it into play in real life. Here, we
will not work on your stance, your grip or stroke; there are other
courses for you to take on those problems.
You can play any game you want to with FL. Your choice, 8 ball, 9
ball, 14.1, rotation, cribbage, bank pool, any one is fine. You can
play 8 ball for a while and then change to 9 ball when you wish to.
FL will work with you on your break, and your shot selection. The
problem with playing a tour pro like FL, or any top player is all they
do is run out on you. They try to con you, paying them to lose, will
make you a better player. FL says no, it only make you a giant sucker
and chump. All you do is learn how to rack and lose. Learning to
lose, never makes you a winner. Do not throw good money at these
hustlers who are not going to show you anything and if they do, it’s
probably wrong, or a miss direction. Don’t support a hustler, which
is not smart. Pay FL to show you how to play. You will pay Fl a lot
less to really learn, than you will lose to a hustler gambling with
him.
FL backs his game off so he rarely runs a rack. When he runs balls,
he tells you how he is thinking, why he is doing it, what English he
is using, what patterns he is running, how he is thinking 3 balls
ahead at all times, how he walks angles and plays…
He will usually run 3 to 5, like the guys you play, and then miss on
purpose so you will have time to play. We discuss your game plans, do
you run out, or duck after 3 or 4 balls?
When you miss a shot, or blow shape, we have you shoot it again until
you make it. We develop a method where you shoot 80% shots, and leave
your opponent 20% shots. FL says when he gets you thinking like he
does, making the same shot selections, that alone will increase your
wins over 25%.
FL will teach you his secret cpu erase, cpu print method. He will
show you how to program your mind, so you will actually begin to play,
perfect. Many begin to run multiple racks when they never ran one
before. The program will take usually 90 days to develop and kick in,
but when it does, your game will go through the roof. This is only
taught by FL, and it does work.
(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((***)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
(9) THE BANKING COURSE
2 hours $100
4 hours $200
All the old time greats were great bankers. I see players today, even
pros playing safe rather than banking. When they don’t practice
banks, they lose confidence in them and then they perform poorly with
the shots. When you practice banks daily, in a month you become a
confident strong banker. FL gives you drills to work on which builds
you into a banking monster.
There are teachers out there who teach complicated banking systems.
You are mentally adding, calculating all these numbers and they spend
all day teaching you system that in a few weeks you will forget 90% of
it and never use it. Knowing this, we just teach you the 10% you will
remember and actually use.
Others are teaching math systems where you are dividing angles and
subtracting each bank but we find in the heat of battle, the mind gets
confused and these systems also fail. We show you simple ways to bank
using angle in and angle out. We work with you on visualization and a
method of what we call Zen banking.
Some off angle banks of course have to be calculated with a system,
but many do not. You will learn how to make 2-3-4-5-6-7=8 and 9 rail
banks. Soon 3 and 4 rail banks will be looking easy to you. You will
be transferring running English from the cue ball on to the object
ball.
FL has either played with, or closely observed the 6 greatest bankers
of the 20th century and he brings to you all of their inside secrets
and methods they gave to him years ago.
FL has a number of trick shot show banks you can seriously impress
your pals with.
FL is one of the greatest bankers of all time, being first to hit and
prove the world’s first 10 rail bank, 9 rails was a record that had
stood unchallenged for 159 years. The 10 rail bank was considered
impossible to be made. It was one of the greatest shots made of all
time. He then went on to hit 11 rails, and 11 rails, one handed back
to back, and he is the only person to ever hit a 12 rail bank.
FL performed the 11 rail bank live on the premier of Ripley’s Believe
it or not on prime time. Take a lesson, from a banking living
legend.
The secrets of FL’s great banking power, is revealed in the course,
and the secrets to the 11 rail bank as well.
Everyone learns how to hit a 9 rail bank and stop the cue ball on a
dollar bill.
(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((***)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
(10) ENGLISH
2 hours $100
Everybody wants it. They want more of it. They want the cue ball to
dance around on their shots. It’s Ok to show off now and then. The
other teachers don’t want you using it and stress less and center
ball. None of them teach it. We teach it just the opposite, we do not
want you to fear it, we want you to love it. The truth is, if you are
Allison Fisher and you practice 10 hours a day and have no other job
than pool, then you can control your cue ball using center ball and
keeping perfect angle to angle on your shots.
But you can’t do that and you are going to get out of line a lot and
the only way to get back in line is juice up the cue ball and come
with some power shot. Your opponent will leave you such a shot a
lot. So using a lot of English is a must to know, learn and master.
English is like women, can live with it, can’t live without it. So
learn to live with it.
Soon we will have you hitting spin shots and drives getting 3 tips out
on the ball. You will learn how to load up a cue ball and almost
totally defeat any deflection or squirt. You will get the secrets to
this only know at the top levels of the 3-cushion world, and totally
unknown and UN used in the pool world. Once you learn where to hit the
cue ball and how to do it right, you can then use all the English you
want to.
We teach, load it up if you want, up close, but far away, use as
little as possible. You will learn and do drills hitting all 12
positions of the clock face and learn the tangent angles that come
from this. You will learn to account and master the effects of cling
and throw.
If you are a good player we can go right into teaching English on the
ball. But if you have stroke problems and are a weaker player we
can’t, and won’t. We will have to fix your swing first, or your
English will never take and be effective. Many of you are jacked up
hitting down on the ball killing your forward roll, curving the ball
which is bad, or hitting and glancing off of it. We will have to
teach you a new level stroke and follow through and how to keep the
tip on the ball. Until you master this, we can’t go forward with you,
and many of you have this problem and do not know it. If you are one
of them, just fixing your swing could take 2 or 3 hours, or more.
Some of you will learn all this in 2 hours, others it will take all
day long. UN doing and changing what you have learned wrong will be
difficult for you to go through and to change but it takes time and
patience.
Once you master the use of English, we then reverse it and teach you
to use as little as possible and stay on the center of the cue ball.
Great play is using no English, center ball and floating from angle to
perfect angle. That is your final lesson.
(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((***))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
(11) POSITION PLAY
Two hours minimum $100 To begin with.
Then One hour @ $50 can be purchased.
Once you have completed all the other courses, this is the one you
spend your final study in. I have enough shots diagramed to keep you
busy learning and perfecting them for years. The ability to have fine
position play is the key to greatness. It is what separates the
talented semi pro going nowhere, and the pro heading to the top. You
will learn to control the cue ball like a pro and to put it anywhere
on almost any shot to any spot.
You will perfect and groove all the standard pattern and position
shots so when they come up in a game you roll right into them without
thinking, choking and coming up short. Each shot is diagramed and
once you learn it, you go home to practice them.
There are millions of shots but really only about 200 ones that come
up a lot. In this course, we learn and perfect those 200. Then when
any variations of them occur, you still know the shot.
We groove and perfect these so you make them on a high percentage.
You could and should spend about 50 hours in this course, there is so
much to learn and cover.
(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((***))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
(12) DRILLS
$50 an hour, 2 hour minimum
There is no shortcut to greatness. Drills are something you have to
do. All the greats did them. The golfer hits the same wedge 100
times in a row, the Tennis player the same forehand 100 times just to
groove a shot in your muscle memory. The pool player does the same
thing with drills.
We will provide you diagrams and instructions on how to use over 30
drills, more than you will ever need. FL runs each drill to show you
how it is supposed to be done, and then he coaches you on it.
We use all the old standard 14.1 drills, plus the new modern 9 ball
patterns. Knowing how to run this right is so important. We
determine how many to have in your practice time depending on your
skill levels. Beginners do more, top players do less. Your drill
program will be designed by us, for you. You will rotate different
ones in and out, so you won’t get bored.
We will show you the ones Mosconi did every day and why they made him
great. Rempes favorite drill that made him a world champion. We use
the drills to chart how our abilities are increasing. You could, and
should spend several days with us working all of them until you
perform each one well.
Many drills are only taught by FL, like the Rhcld drill, so when you
see a rail shot, you can now pull the cue ball off a 5 different
tangent angles you can control with great accuracy. The Drill of
Doom, which is the ultimate drill in pool, only taught by FL, and
takes 2 hours to learn. You will then have total mastery of the cue
ball and the ability to hit any square inch of the table. You could
spend 30 hours on this course easily.
The person, who controls the cue ball the best, usually wins because
he is shooting the easiest shots and having easier patterns.
(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((***))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
(13) TRICK SHOT ARTISTIC COURSE
2 hours $100 plus FL’s free trick shot DVD that sells for
$25.
Everyone needs a repertoire of trick shots to show off with and to
entertain and impress your friends with. To perform them correctly
you need coaching. You need to know how to freeze and place the
balls. The secrets of how they align and throw. How these shots work
technically. This you do not get out of a book. This is a rare
opportunity to be trained by one of the greatest trick shot shooters
of all time, Holder of over 20 world records in Artistic and Former
TASA world artistic champion. He was inducted into the trick shot
hall of fame in 1998. He has invented 1,000 new shots, filmed over
2,000 and he tours with 250 so if he does 3 shows a day he never
repeats a shot. He has made every shot known. He has performed
dozens of shots, no one else can duplicate.
He will pass on to you all these inside secrets given to him by such
greats as Jimmy Caras who was his teacher. FL can teach you any shots
you request. He suggests you learn all the shots on his DVD with
him. Master those 26 shots and that is enough to go out and perform a
full trick shot show for money. After FL shows you now to set these
shots up and make them in person, you take the DVD home and see it
explained again for you.
The first third of the shots, anybody can make, including a beginner.
The 2nd third you need to be a good player with a decent stroke, but
any intermediate can perform all of them. The final third are shots
you see on TV and they are advanced. But anyone with a decent stroke
and game, who will practice them, will soon master them with FL’s
coaching. No jumps or masses are taught in this course. That is a
separate course, because of the damage and holes they will put in the
cloth. We need to get on a special table with an old cloth for
those.
Once the student masters the 26 shots in FL’s DVD, he could then come
back and begin working and learning the shots in the Byrne treasury of
trick shots. This is a totally separate sport from pool and FL could
train you to become an artistic pro and compete in their world trick
shot championship.
(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((***))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
(14) THE JUMP AND MASSE COURSE
2 hours Jump and masse both. $200
1 hour Jump shot only $100
1 hour Masse shot only $100
THE JUMP SHOT
Nobody can teach you the jump shot as well as FL. He will even
furnish the cues. He will show you how to perform with the 3 piece
break jump, the 3 piece stealth jump cue, the 2 piece short jump cue,
and the new Dr Popper short cue. You will now be able to jump very
long, and up close. Fl will show you that to have all the jump shots
this will require two special cues, they all cannot be done with one
cue. He can sell you these cues widely used on the Artistic tour and
on trick shot magic on TV, for special low prices. You will learn how
to jump using 4 cues, and then you will be shown how you can do it all
with just two cues.
You will be taught the side jack up stroke, plus the new dart stroke
from the front of the chest. You will be jumping over a full ball,
only one ball widths away in just minutes. Many with more jump
experience and talent will be jumping over that full ball, with just a
half ball distance between them. This will give you a new weapon
where you become almost UN hook able. FL set a world record cold
jumping using no ramp ball to go over 26 balls. He has performed
numerous jump shots no one else can duplicate.
If you want to learn the trick shot artistic jump shots used in the
world championship or show shots you see on TV, this course can teach
those to you.
When you complete this course and master the use of the two cues, you
will have a jump shot equal to any pro player on the big tour. All it
will take is the two special cues, the coaching and a little
practice.
LE MASSE
You can make all the advanced masses with your regular cue but all the
top artistic pros use a special heavy short masse cue which FL will
furnish you for the lesson. He can sell you one also for a special
low price. You will learn what tips to use and why. The standard
grip used by Mike Massey and the European fork grip used by Rojas.
This is a shot that should be learned last, after the player has
mastered the use and control of his cue according to Willie Hoppe,
beginners and masses do not mix. You should not even consider this
course until you are at least a strong APA 5 TO 6 level player.
Efren Reyes never jumps a ball, because his Masse is so good, he does
not have to. He just curves around them. The masse is a shot that
every good player should have. It is like a golfer not carrying
around a sand wedge, he just handicaps himself for not having that
club. FL will show you the correct stances, sideways, on the rail,
off the leg and freehand. You must know the proper angle in or shots
fail and you need a coach to see and show those to you. You can’t
gage the degree of angle in on your own and a coach will save you
years of experimentation trial and error here. On one shot 78 degrees
might work, on another it might require 95. On some you stab and hold
into the cloth, on others you whip in and out of the ball never
touching the cloth. Some you jump and skip the ball, others you do
not. There is so much to learn here, this is a major study and under
taking.
You begin learning the curve, where the tip never hits the cloth and
you can shoot this shot anywhere, claiming it’s not a masse. You will
learn how to curve around a half ball, then a full ball and pocket
another ball. This is an awesome weapon to have. You will learn when
to masse and when to jump and why? Everyone can do these shots.
FL has a super secret aiming system which has never been published.
The cue ball will be marked with pencil circles showing you exactly
where to hit to produce each shot. Once you learn the system, which
is like a bomb sight, then every shot can be calculated and shot with
precision without guess work.
FL has long been regarded as one of the greatest masse players of all
time. His Big Kahuna masse is on Utube and nobody has been able to
duplicate this shot in 16 years. He has over a dozen other masses he
has filmed nobody else can make.
If you want to learn some of the Artistic masse they shoots in the
world championship or great show shots the lesson can be custom
designed to teach you want you want to learn. If you are an advanced
player you can even be taught how to make these super hard DF 10 and
11’s that only a handful can now pull off.
When you complete this course, your masse will be equal or better than
most of the pros.
Here is a rare opportunity to learn the greatest shot in pool, Le
Masse, from the greatest masse player of our time.

Slim: Larry I have been searching for the answers for years. I got to
APA 7 status but could not make the jump to semi pro. It is not that I
have not tried. I want to play with the big boys bad. I spent a
thousand with Jerry in Madison; he was supposed to be the top teacher
in the country. I spent a grand with Ray in Tampa; others said he was
the main guru being a multiple world champion. In frustration I came
back to that area and worked with Buddy Hall. I stayed right where I
was at. While I was in Florida I did Mike Sigel too. Flying around the
country seeing these boys aint cheap. 4 grand gone, 3 weeks wasted. I
spent one day with you and $300 and I was there overnight, it was
amazing.
You nutted that lesson dude. You caught, what they all missed and did
not focus on. No question about it, you are the man now and the best
guru in the land, at least in my humble opinion and experience. You
have, the best bang for the buck, that is for damn sure. I loved your
private teaching studio, 2 gold crowns, wood paneled walls, I thought
I was in a fancy country club, it was all perfect. I am forever in
your debt. XXXXXX Slim.
Larry, most of the posters on RSB are just over come with jealousy
with you. Your teaching abilities and knowledge dwarf them. They can’t
stand having someone with your background come in and begin showing
them up so bad. That is not your fault you really know and they don’t
and are all tied up with their physics thinking that is the answer,
which you have proved is wrong.
Bubba from Mississippi
Craig: Larry, You have to be one of the fairest, most honest people I
know in the pool world. I am proud to know you! Craig
Palma: I now see that you teach the truth, which is straight through
and upwards through the cue ball, rather than having your tip dive
into the cloth like those phony BCA instructors teaches. I have a few
friends whom are BCA instructors; I don’t want to make anyone mad.
They are friends, but I don't really agree with much of what they
teach. You are one of the very few who could truly be called a grand
master of the game. They are all teaching it all wrong; you are the
only one, teaching it right. Amazing.
George: I became a member of poolchat about a month ago and have found
out that what I devised through trial and error ten years ago was not
only acceptable, but more accurate and easier. You are really teaching
the truth and how it is. What is wrong with everyone else? I cannot
express in writing how pissed off I am at those that are teaching us
wrong and at the same time very glad when hearing the gospel of pool
truth from FL on www.poolchat.net.
Steve: Fast Larry, I finally got it - it has sunk in that the power
and speed comes from the wrist. I was never taught that before,
probably because it makes the stroke much more difficult (to maintain
a straight arc) than just swinging the arm. Man, you are the
greatest. That bend, cock load, flick, release: lord the power I now
have is scary. You turned me into an animal. All those other teachers
dude, do not have a clue.
Sal said: Thanks a lot fast, you really are the man. A real gem for
the pool playing society.
Paco: I have told several people that they can't blame me for my
success recently. I am the product of a master and not ready for their
praise yet. I have even told some of them about this site, www.poolchat.net
where FL teaches free. Maybe this is the best kept secret on the
web...
Nat: Larry, you have an astonishing ability to ignore the jealous
ravings of the bozos who would love to be you, but can’t. You've
taught me a lot, so I hope you'll keep up the good work.
California dreamin: Larry I want to thank you for your website
publications, I find it to be the best in pool sites for improving
ones personal game plan. I enjoyed the section on the paper spot on
the pool table, you are right on.
William, a MIT PHD: I found your website while searching for "draw
shot" and have concluded it is very helpful. I also have found the
"nip" or "stab shot" produces much more back spin for the effort than
the traditional (everybody else teaches this) low and long follow
through. My engineering background in Newtonian physics tells me the
nip will be more effective, and, in fact the limiting case is to get
the
ball to back spin with almost no forward motion - this in theory can
be done by jacking way up(almost vertical) and hitting down on the
back half of the ball. You have a natural teaching style and I enjoy
your DVDs.
CCB. Spiderman : Fast Larry is right about ELEVATING for power draw,
and the one-fits-all rote instruction you often see and hear is
inadequate for this type of shot . Over years of playing, I too seemed
to notice that, for long draw shots where the cueball and object ball
are far apart, jacking up a little allowed me to get more draw without
golfing the cueball into the air.
When my nerdy analytic mind first considered the "why" of this
working, I thought that perhaps I was preserving my backspin by adding
a little bit of "jump" to the shot and limiting contact with the
cloth. But I discounted that theory because, even if you get as level
as possible, you still get air time on a hard draw shot. Prove it to
yourself by putting coins in front of the cueball. My current position
is that it's a matter of squirt and compensation, same as when using
sidespin.
Consider what happens when you put right on the cueball - it's path
"squirts" a little to the left. So, to make the shot, you also
compensate by aiming a little to the right. This launches the spinning
cueball straight along your original intended line-of-aim. See where
I'm going? Use right spin, cueball squirts left, so aim a little right
to compensate. USE BOTTOM SPIN, CUEBALL SQUIRTS UP, SO AIM A LITTLE
DOWN TO COMPENSATE. The "launch trajectory" of the cueball may
actually be closer to horizontal when aiming down, than when applying
a similar amount of level-cue backspin.
Like it or not, we play pool in three dimensions. When you draw with a
level cue, you "squirt" the cueball into the air. Use this in an all-
out power-draw situation, without compensating your aim downward, and
you may be playing on the floor. Larry also notes that each player's
"ideal" angle will be a little different. I suspect this is tied to
the squirt characteristics of the cues. This would imply that players
using low-squirt cues such as the predator 314 should need less jack-
up than players using shafts with higher effective end mass. I wonder
if anyone has made this observation?
Finally, to address the comments regarding hitting the cueball a
little higher when you jack up - yes, this is true. But you still get
the same amount of "retrograde" rotation, because this is totally a
function of how far your cue's line of travel is offset from the
cueball's center of mass. Think about it - if you jack up far enough,
you can get lots of backspin even hitting above the equator - we call
that a masse'.

Pete: Thank you Fast for sharing you vast knowledge and teachings.
Since I have been reading them and practicing your drills I just went
up one notch in my league. I had been stuck in place for some time.
Just wanted you to know what you are writing are working for me; don’t
know about these other guys. Keep up this fantastic supply of
knowledge and ignore those jealous know nothing do nothings who keep
trying to do you in and drag you down. Just teach what you know, and
you will come out vindicated in the end. Thank you, Pete.
Dan T: Loving your free encyclopedia…in your main web site,
www.fastlarrypool.com better stuff than all the books I have bought.
There is enough information there to fill four full pool books.

There I was, ball in hand, with the possibility to win it all, and at

A teacher, 6th degree black belt, champion, and owner of a dojo: I am
from a small town, and it is fairly scary to delve into that Atlanta
traffic, but it was worth it again. As an APA 6 in 9-ball, I desire to
move my game up another level. Larry again proved to be a very good
instructor. Of course the venue we went to was fantastic as it was
last year. I spent about 4 hours one day and 4 hours the next day. I
taped most of it for future reminders.
After reviewing last year's points, I wanted him to analyze my stroke
mechanics, stance, bridges and grip. He doesn't "sugarcoat" at all.
That's why I go to him. He has forgotten more about the game than most
so called instructor know. He found that I was not stroking the cue
ball in the center. He pointed out that very few people were able to
do that, so it is a common problem. I was inadvertently imparting
right English on the CB which was causing me to miss long shots. I now
have another long journey fixing this problem....when you get as old
as I am (58) you have to exert more effort and practice to remove bad
habits...

John: An IBM executive: I've been to Jillian's at Discover Mills,
Lawrenceville, Georgia, for a couple lessons with Fast Larry and also
a couple playing sessions. I'm here to tell you it's a very nice
facility, clean, safe, smoke free and suitable for kids. We've played
on tables in both the VIP room and the main room. The carpeted VIP
room is very classy. There are four 8 foot Gold Crowns with house
cloth. Because it's private, you can close the doors, turn down the
music and be totally free from distractions. You can spread your gear
out and get comfortable. Even play on multiple tables if necessary.
Service is great. The waitresses are attentive and the food is very
good. They really do treat you like VIPs. The main room has 12 9 foot
Gold Crowns, house cloth. It has a wood floor and music so it's
louder, but I can deal with that. You can eat a full dinner in the
dining room, they have a couple full service bars, plus bowling and
arcade games. Like Dave and Busters, but the tables are nicer. It’s
part of a huge mall, so practically any amusement or diversion you can
name is close by, including a theater and Medieval Times.
If you ever get a chance to go there for a lesson you won't be
disappointed. Fast Larry has an arrangement with Jillian's so his
students get VIP treatment at no extra cost. Did I mention that they
have dozens of wonderful photos of movie stars and others playing
pool?
California, Michael: I just talked to you on the phone. My name is

shortened my backswing (just playing around) and I started firing in

really play good. You picked me up at the airport and took me around
everywhere, nice hotel, great restaurants; even your gym we worked out
in was world class. Total VIP treatment. And when I got home, my game
exploded. My skills doubled and I am kicking ass out here. I am used

Dan: From a professional pool instructor in California: Hi everyone I
just wanted to share my last week’s experience. I went to GA to work
with FL and receive my Masters teaching credential in his Power Source
Pool School. It was a time to put the pedal to the metal as the old
saying goes.
I arrived in Atlanta on Sunday an FL picked me up at the airport and
got me checked into the hotel and then had a great evening of
comparing notes and some good food. When the week ended he and his
lovely wife were kind enough to see that I got to the airport in
plenty of time to catch my flight.
The week started Monday morning at Julian’s in Duluth, this is a great
establishment. We had access to the private poolroom with 4 tables in
it. We were the only ones in the room. We worked on my stroke and I
now possess a world-class draw and follow stroke. We did a lot of
drills and each day I learned a few trick shots to add to my arsenal.
It was a week packed with learning, executing and diagramming shots.
He is a great teacher and showman with worlds of knowledge. I not only
gained the game I wanted, but a lot of information on all the greats
of the game, I swear he is a walking encyclopedia of knowledge.

John B, Chief - US Navy: You asked me to email you and tell you what
I think about lessons with Fast Larry, after I had been there. Well,
here is, and you may put it on your website.
Fast Larry is a true character in the history of pool. He is
gregarious, extremely knowledgeable, conscientious, and dedicated to
teaching pool to improve other's games. He has wonderful teaching
facilities and teaching aids, and implements them to the utmost of
their capabilities.
Fast Larry begins teaching at a dynamic and tenacious pace, and if a
person will set aside his preconceived ideas, listen, watch Larry's
demonstrations, and shoot like he is told, the student can do nothing
but improve his attitude and game.
I had three wonderful days to improve my life. I met a lifelong
friend. I improved my game. I came away with many drills and ideas to
use in the future. I can shoot pro-shots that I never thought that I
could handle. Would I return for more? You bet. I had three wonderful
days full for fun, laughs, challenges, and instruction to improve my
life.
But, keep your mind on him every minute. He is a tricky devil (I guess
from many, many, many years of hanging out in pool rooms). He likes
to joke around. He will pull a hustle on you for the laugh, just to
show you he still can. Hasta la vista, John B, Chief - US Navy
J.D. Pentagon VIP Support: Dear Sir,
Since I was 8 years old. I have been searching for the answers you
shared in your tech articles. I have heard of all the greats and the
big names of Billiard's. I came across your page from a forum and I
found myself on your webpage. I was astonished by your demos and
videos. By your awards and your history and background . I'm truly
amazed by your tech articles. I'm an average player who has had a bit
of natural talent. Always have been able to not step foot in a pool
hall for long periods of time and destroy all my friends who have
played daily. I'm by far nothing special but I find myself at the age
of 28 and wondering just how far I can go with this sport if I truly
put my mind to it and practice. I always been trying to determine
where my player level is at and how good a pro is truly. I have never
seen one play in person other than on T.V
When I watched your video clip on the 15 ball run without having the
cue hit any rails. I was truly blown away that has to be the most
amazing thing I have ever seen in this game. Right away mentally it
tore me down; right away I knew I could never be that good. But yet
something drives me to see if I can accomplish the same results. When
I read your articles truly I have never came across anything like
them. You break into the heart and soul of Billiards. Things other
people take for granted or overlook. Such as your queball/object ball
eye contact article. Another one is swing distance. And absolute the
most impressive is English is bad. I like your approach to the game as
not play for the crowd but to win. Sure some guy can curve the queball
around two for a long table lawn shot. But why when all he had to do
was clip the ball on a cut that was possible. I may not know much but
to me your common sense approach is absolute uncanny. Basic facts, is
what you teach win's. And those facts are what makes a winner.
I may sound like a rambling idiot but I just wanted to say reading
your articles has totally changed my approach for the game in a way
that I truly understand all in what you’re saying. I do believe Pool
is made up of many different categories and to be the best you have to
be the best in each one and let the chips fall. However practice does
make perfect and natural talent for the game never hurt. When you walk
by a ball you have to take a mental snapshot of the direct path and
focus on that OB and I agree shoot fast and loose because mentally you
have to come one with the stick.
When your next DVD comes out I will definitely buy it due to the fact
your simply amazing to watch. From this day on I’m inspired by you and
wish I could be half as good as you. Thanks so much for letting all
pool players read your articles to improve their game. I hope I didn't
take up much of your time and I hope you recover soon from your
accident. Take care and you have a new fan on your side. J.D.

Jack K: I was totally amazed watching your 11 rail bank and your one
hander blew me away. I know that you have gone 12 rails now and I
wanted to know if 13 is possible in your lifetime or should we
consider it science fiction? Again, there is no doubt in my mind that
you are the greatest shot maker of all times. Sincerly, JK.
Fl responds: If you watch my 11 rail video you will see when you make
10, 11 is only a foot away. When I made 12, I was only 2' away from
13. Yes it can be done, some day, one day, I may do it if I commit to
it and would have money and backing to set up the right table. 10
years ago when I still had the strength to do it I tried hard for
somebody to set me up a brand new perfect table and leave me alone for
a week with the camera rolling. If I had got that, I would have done
it then. A couple of times I got a new but imperfect table for a day
and that was it. Today I am probably too old to make it, my time has
passed. Babe Ruth woke up one day and could not hit it out of the
infield. You only have great power for a short time, then age, takes
it away. Remember I set all of those power records as a senior
citizen on bad tables. I wonder what I could have done in my prime,
on new fast tables. Fast Larry

Ilarbed : Since I started listening to Fast Larry.. I have become the
best pool player in my house room. After years of frustration, I have
finally seen the light. My goal is to be able to run 30 balls by next
Friday and with Larry’s latest lesson I ran 60. I know I can succeed
because I have the bestest pool teacher in the whole world. Thank you
Fast Larry. You have saved me from being a hopeless APA hack.
Sincerely Ilarbed
Don: FL took me in and gave me lessons for almost nothing when he
learned I was on disability. He has given me about 20 hours for
free. He is most generous and a great teacher. This man is totally
miss understood and much misaligned by his jealous competitors who
can’t carry his jock strap into a pool hall. FL can back up anything
he says, with his cue. His skills and his knowledge are the best I
have ever seen. He is the best teacher in the country, bar none.
L: I took some lessons from Fast back in May I think it was. I found
out from him that all of the things that I did naturally were right,
but I had spent the last year or more before that changing those
things based on the supposed "right way to do it". I changed my "grip"
to using just my finger tips almost, hitting low for draw (and even
lower when more was needed, often sending the ball into the air),
standing with my knees locked for stability. Fast got me back to
gripping with a bit of meat between my thumb and forefinger (like I
used to do), crouching (bending my knees to get down on the ball),
hitting downward on the ball for max draw (like everyone who's a
newbie does until someone tells them that they need to hit low and
level). My game has improved dramatically. And the follow - wow - I
had no follow before, now I sure do. That, and I got some of my speed
control back, though I'm still struggling with speed control when I
snap my wrist - I'm working on that now.
JJ: "I enjoyed meeting you in person and believe you are the most
knowledgeable person in the world regarding all aspects of pool. I am
very glad that you are taking the time to give us your knowledge
through these articles. My husband and I read the one on the "stroke"
and tried out your recommended bridge length. We got instant results
in accuracy and it helped my husband on his position skills. Thanks so
much, look forward to more articles and love your dogs."
************************************************************************
Singapore: Shawn: I just finished reading your article on stroke, and
practically rest of the site and I must say you doing a great job!
This is probably the only site where I could find comprehensive
information on every aspect of pool. I tried the short stroke with
longer follow through and I must admit even though it felt weird the
first few times the results were amazing. I started potting balls and
clearing up racks which I would normally choke on! The main thing I
realized with this stroke was that the ball travels so much smoother
and I can get the cue ball to move without "ramming" it and making the
cue ball jump up n down off the table.
Jerry: "Great looking site at pool chat. I read your article on the
stroke. I like your straightforward no bs tone. It helped a lot. It
made me fall right into dead stroke. My buddy has been beating me bad
for the last two weeks because I tried to adjust how I hit the ball.
After reading your article, going back to my old stroke and making
some adjustments I read in your article, I have beating him bad. Let's
say he got a lot of rack practice. Anyway, thanks again and keep those
articles coming."
Wolf blass. UK in England: Owner of a snooker chat form and
promoter. If I ever have a problem with my game there is one place I
will go and that is to Fast Larry. I have never met the guy and I
hardly know him - but let's get this damn straight - he talks sense. I
have read this group since 1999 and I have picked up a few things here
and there - but I will say that the only way forward for a gifted
player is to be coached by someone who isn't going to fill their head
full of mumbo jumbo. I am a reasonable player - a century breaker at
snooker, a fantastic 8-ball player (on our equipment,) and also I can
run several racks of 9-ball on a Brunswick. I know about squirt,
throw, deflection and the rest of it - but I lack a key factor. I have
a cue action that many would die for - put the white ball on the top
rail of a snooker table and I will smash in a red down the rail at the
bottom of the table - I cue as straight as you can wish.
Over here we have just two pieces of advice - cue straight and follow
through. The rest of it we just switch our brains off to. When the UK
players take up 9-ball make no mistake that they will wipe out all the
world - at the moment we have Snooker - which makes you a millionaire
- but when snooker falls away there will be a lot of players smashing
you off the table at 9-ball. There are a few players right now in the
UK that are thinking about taking up 9-ball and these players are
going to kick some arse in the States first. And do you know who will
teach them? Fast Larry. I am already setting up coaching/road trips
for 3 previous world champions to go to FL's place for tuition before
they take on the US. And why is that? These guys already know the
basics of any cuesport - but they don't know how to PLAY THE GAME.
This is why that they best exponents of the game will be going to FL
for advice - and all you lot do is slag him off. If some of the
world's best cueists realise that FL is the man to teach them then I
feel sorry for those that
slag him off on here. Wolf blass.

Erik -aka- The Pool Hustler Hello Everyone!
It has been quite awhile since I posted here. However, I do agree,
Fast Larry gives some good advice. I have spoken to him many times.
Recently, I have watched Ripley's repeat some of their episodes with
him shooting some darn good trick shots. He's awesome so take his
advice.
'Fast Larry' Guninger
Trick shooter is professor of pool, teaching the 'gentleman's game
By Hoyt Coffee editor of the tech newspaper
An article from the early 1990’s.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There's a new class right here at Tech, and that starts with "T," and
that rhymes with "P," and that stands for pool. Make that pocket
billiards; it sounds better. And that's just what "Fast Larry"
Guninger wants. The world-record holder began teaching pool at Tech a
couple of years ago in hopes he could help "save the game of pocket
billiards" from its seedy image with a little flash and a lot of
work.
"The game of pocket billiards has real serious growth problems,"
Guninger says. "The reason it has serious growth problems is that it
has a bad image. The game basically dissolved about 1957. When the
Billiard Congress of America went out of business. The hustlers took
over the game, and it never escaped that reputation.
"This game doesn't have a chance unless we get into the collegiate
world and start developing team play and developing gentlemen who will
play the sport as gentlemen." Of course, the first step is getting
their attention; that's where the flash comes into play. And Guninger
is about as flashy on the felt as they get. He holds nine world
records for pool shots and is listed in the Guinness Book of World
Records. He's even been featured in Ripley's Believe It or Not for
making an 11-bank shot.
Guninger performed that unlikely feat last year on a pool table in
Tech's Student Activities Center, where he puts on "artistic skill
shot" exhibitions to highlight the billiards courses he teaches here.
He also became the fastest player alive in 1994, pocketing all 15
billiard balls in just 33.9 seconds, hence the handle "Fast Larry."
Those kinds of shots don't just come about overnight. Surprisingly,
the 50-year-old manufacturer's representative has only been about the
business for less than three years, even though he was first exposed
to the game as a kid in Kansas City. "I was typical of most pool
players in that era," he says. "You snuck in the pool hall because you
wanted to see what was going on. You had to be 16 to get in, but when
you were 10 or 11 years old, they looked the other way. After a while,
you took your allowance money, your lunch money, and you snuck in and
played for a dime a game.
"I started playing as a teenager, and I played for roughly 10 years.
When I graduated from college, and went to work for a large
corporation, all of a sudden I was going around in a suit and tie, and
I no longer fit in with the crew I was around. There were only a
handful of people who could play with me in the whole city, and those
people were all hustlers. I actually quit the game for that reason for
about 25 years I played very little and nothing serious."
Guninger is determined to clear pocket billiards' bad name and return
the sport to its former glory. Around the time of the Civil War, it
was the biggest game in the world. Tournaments paid huge purses, even
more than today. But the game's image deteriorated over the years
until it became synonymous with larceny. Still, the fun and challenge
of the game attract a tremendous following. "Today, pocket billiards
is the No. 2 participant sport in the country, behind only bowling,"
Guninger says. "There are close to 45 million people playing the
sport. The people have come back; the tarnished reputation hasn't gone
away.
"People have to realize we can put pool tables in high schools without
parents going crazy thinking that we're degrading the morals of our
youth. It needs to evolve into a healthy sport like football, like
basketball, like swimming. Not big trouble in River City." After four
years teaching pocket billiards as a course at Tech and providing
guidance for students who wanted a team, Guninger says he sees his
goals coming to fruition. Programs are popping up at other schools,
and intercollegiate competitions have become a reality. Tech's team
has even slated a match with its counterpart at Georgia, and some
players will compete in a national tournament. FL is the new coach of
the Yellow Jacket pool team.
Getting the team off the ground at Tech has been challenging at times.
When Guninger first started teaching the billiards course, only about
six students joined it. Now the classes are booked to capacity, the
best 10 of whom make up the team. And there were other perhaps less-
serious challenges, according to Jonathan Lartigue, a junior in
electrical engineering and secretary of the Yellow Jackets Pool Team.
"Larry said to me on more than one occasion that the worst person to
instruct in pool is a Georgia Tech student," Lartigue says. "That's
because they have to understand why the ball goes in the pocket
instead of being happy just to watch it fall." Lartigue, who founded
the team with Larry’s guidance, says he never even considered it until
he took Guninger’s course and "improved my game 100 percent. Once I
started playing well, I would come to the pool hall every day."
Guninger is also helping dispel another myth that contributes to the
game's dubious image: the myth that it's for men only. "It's not like
other sports like football where you have be a particular size," says
Rachel Fuller, vice president of the team. "You don't have to be
particularly strong. Any of the normal male advantages in many sports
just are not there. About the only advantage that males have is the
myth that it is a male sport." Fuller, a freshman, would like to get a
separate female team going as well, but she admits that would be
doubtful "simply because of the male-female ratio at Tech."
Now that the pool team is becoming a reality, Guninger and company are
moving on to some other projects, too. He and Lartigue are working on
an instructional videotape that features some of Guninger’s classic
trick shots, and, of course, the search goes on for ever-more-
impressive feats. "I've pulled off some shots in the last year that
people haven't seen yet," he says. "And when they see them, they're
going to think that there's a trick, that I'm using mirrors and doing
magic." That show will be coming to a pool hall near you. Make that a
billiard parlor; it sounds better.

We have dealt with a lot of foreign students, mostly from the UK,
Europe, Hong Kong and Japan from very important businessmen to even
diplomats. No matter what level of service you require, Limo and the
works, we have it. Some foreign students come in for a week, and
spend 3 or 4 days in lessons, and want to spend a few days sightseeing
the capital of the Southeast USA, and former Olympic city of
Atlanta.
They may bring their wife or girlfriend and want her taken around and
shown the area sights. We will put them in a new car, with an Atlanta
native that will take you to all the top locations and tourist
attractions in the metro area, or even the North Georgia Mountains for
a very reasonable fee. Some have even wanted to be shown around
Florida to all the best beaches which we can take you to. You may
want to be escorted to some of the top golf courses in the area, the
best Tennis arenas, or work out in our million dollar Bally fitness
center. You name it, you got it. If you want to go to the hot disco
or club, its there for you. Visit the wild side of town; we will take
you there safely.
To custome design your holiday, either all pool instruction, or half
of it have fun and hit the beach, just send us your telephone number.
Be sure and give us your country code. Send to this email:

I also watched numerous videos on FLs website. The only attempted
running of racks that I saw was the attempt to run a rack without the
cueball touching a rail. This is more difficult than most would agree.
Watch Speed pool and we all say it is easy. Try it. I have and even
though I can play a fast game, It is tough. I heard FL had a stroke a
few years back and has eye trouble. I am 62 and also grew up in Kansas
City. I never heard of FL when I was young and the word gets around
who the players are. Like FL I guess I am a has been, dreaming of the
days of a super stroke and the money game. I mean no offense to any
pro player, but few stroke the ball as well as FL in his prime, but I
reserve my judgement of Larry as a player. We will probably never know
if his memory of his game is exaggerated. I played enough to remember
that I was not consistent to play at a pro level. But I played better
than most. I understand FLs need for accolades. Pool was his life. I
had a family and career that interrupted my game and yet I still long
for respect. It is true in any career, what have you done lately.

Because U R a sick fook, because you are a pos chink, because U R a
sick stalker, because you have no morality, because you are a coward
and you sneak up behind people and mug them from behind and then brag
how you beat them up, because you are a convicted criminal with a 17
page rap sheet, and your name is Eric T Hu, of edison, new joyzee,
that's why.
Dumper, you did not answer my question about if I gave you the free
vet?
Then explain why guys like Gates of Microsoft, and others like him,
give away hundreds of millions. Somebody is getting this money, even
if it is not you.
You find it impossible to believe, that there is actually somebody in
pool, me, giving things away. And yes, there are people actually
giving away free lunches, to mental retards like you, in every city,
just go line up and get your free bowl of swill. And stand out by the
bus stop and say hey bud, can ya spare a buck, and they will give you
free money. Some make a C note a day doing that. Tax free.
Then you go buy a bottle of thunderbird, and bag of crack and youse is
set for da night. Free food, fee cot in the mission, free drugs, is
this a great fookin country or what?
Did I say that, no, but I did say U R a retard, and that statement
confirms it. Gates gives away millions, I give away thousands. U
don't give away she-yit.
People who make a lot of money, give a lot of things away, rather that
pay taxes on it. And some, when they realize they never need beyond
250-300 mil, and can never spend that, begin giving it away when they
get older.
Let me give you an example of this, the first one of you that posts
your name and address, I will mail to you, a thousand dollar bill.
Now if I wanted to give away a new vet for 100K, I can, the money is
sitting in the bank, I could write a check for it right now. But why
do that now, when all Hu will do is cry oh boo hu hu, what a fraud and
what a fake, so sorry dumper, no vet, go thank hu hu for that one. Go
see if hu hu will give U a free peter puffin. Maybe he will waive, his
usual $25 fee. U and Hu, that's a dynamic pair, ole dumper and
thumper.
come see me on www.poolchat.net
U might learn sometin there, U sure wont learn nuttin here.
The latest medical survey from the Mayco clinic tells us that 25% of
the general population is now mentally disturbed. I call dem, bozos.
And 50% of the general pool population. If dey wuz normal, dey would
be out playing golf or tending dare gardens or walkin da dog.
Dare fo, 75% of Rsb is nuts, crazier dan a loon or my pet coon. And I
aint talkin about osama bama.
So 2 out of d 3 people U listen to here, R nuts, bozos, nitcompoops.
Dis is hu youse is takin youse advice from. Dee blind, leadin da
blind.
And since Ize ez normal, dis is why Ize nos youse is nuts. Also
because of my superior schookin and advanced education and my phd. So
is youse wants to listen to crazy people, stay right here, you R in
bozo world HQ. Or if youse wants civility, or normal people to
converse wit.
