Back in the late 80's I played on the Busch league, which is now the
Miller Light league I think. Anyway, we called our team "The Busch
Lickers". We wanted it to be spelled as "The Bush Lickers", but the
wives put the kibosh on that.

I was on an APA 8 member team and one member was named Joe White.

We played in a league a few summers ago, on Tues nights, against a
womens team (it was a mixed league) named C U Next Tuesday Sirs took
me 1/2 the season before I figured it out. But then I'm a bit old and
slow.

Lol... I'm old but not that slow, Pat. There are only three womens'
teams I know of in our league ... none with names as interesting as
yours.

But you're not biased are you?

BTW WTF is a fava bean? Down here, south of the Mason Dixon Line, we have
green beans, lima beans and even white beans but I have never seen a fava
bean.

This is the team name for one of the teams in my 8-ball league.

We change names every year or two. Right now we are the x-CUE-ses.
A couple of years ago we almost picked the name "4-Cue-Guys" (say it
fast and think of a New England accent), but we had a couple of
women on our team at the time and decided on something else.

Since most New Orleanians don't pronounce their r's here, the 4 Cue Guys
team name will go over big here.

A fava bean is like a big lima bean. They come three or four in a large
fuzzy pod that resembles a huge edamame. If they are young and fresh
they need not be peeled but if they're older the bean itself should have
it's hard outer coating removed. Of course it's a matter of taste but I
think they are quite delicious.
