Bludworth Value Up or Down?

Just wondered with all the recent inter-family stuff between the Bludworths
(of which I have little interest), what happens to cue values when a cue
maker shuts up shop, as in the case of Donald Bludworth and Bludworth Custom
Cues.

Specfically, I bought my Bludworth about two years ago through Hawleys and,
because they were builiding it "from scratch", Mike Long offered to alter
the design and materials in my specific cue. Apparently my cue was only the
second they'd ever made with this design and when I received it I loved it.

Assuming it wasn't just sales talk from Bludworth (always a possibility) I
would hope my cue is fairly rare in this particular style and is now highly
unlikely to be manufactured again, so any ideas as to whether the value
would be affected by BCC's recent demise, for better or worse? I paid $ 1000
for it with an extra shaft.

This question is purely for my ego by the way. I have no intention of
selling it - just want the bragging rights. Unless the general opinion is
that it's DROPPED in value, in which case I'll keep very, very quiet.

I know the Bludworths very well. Donald had the world on a string but he never
made a Bludworth, only Leonard can (with maybe some help from Mike Long). The
ideas and Ideals on Cue making differed greatly from Donald and Leonard. I
believe in the new millinium you will find Leonard as a great maker of Cues and
equipment. Donald will be a forgotten memory.

It seems from your post that your thinking that
Bludworth isn't making cues any more. I can
personally attest to the fact that isn't true. I
spoke with Leonard on the phone a couple of weeks
ago and ordered a cue from him. I will be about
another month before it's done, and I can't wait.

He does have a website up, although quite honestly
there isn't that much there. Take a look:

If you can give me a picture of the cue I can try and tell you how many were
made. and the value. If it was made 2 years ogo I mor than likely made it.

For your info. I made our first Cnc with Thomas Wayne. In Alaska.
After that I made all of our programming for all of the Bludworth cues.
Then I taught mike long how to do it.
I guess that means you don't know the Bludworth family to good huh.
