I was told it was worth 12- to $1,400, but that resale value may be in the
neighborhood of $600.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. :>)

Cues like many other things are worth what someone is willing to pay
for them!!
Early predator cue butts were built by Falcon cues and Falcon cues are
production cues in the lower price range. A first edition predator cue
is a Falcon butt with a predator shaft! I don't know how many cues
were made like the first edition model you have, but you should be able
to find a buyer for it if you are interested in selling it.
12 to $1,400 sounds high to me, but $600 for resale value may not be
out of line if the cue looks good and is in good condition. It all
depends on what a buyer is willing to spend for a cue like you are
trying to sell.
Here's a suggestion, take the cue to the US Open in September and ask
Joe Salazar or Dick Abbott their opinion on the value of the cue. They
are both cue dealers and should be able to give you a ball park figure
on what the cue is worth.
Good luck with your cue.

da ding dong daddy, triple D.
Original cost was $995
However as others have said, it is worth what you can get.

What do the percentages mean, Frank? If those are like a Blue Book-type value,
I'm thinking it may be worth $400 on the street, then.
It may make a nice house cue for my table, along with a Sneaky Pete Fry, a
Sneaky Pete McDermott, an old Heubler, and an old skinny-shafted Meucci (a
Geese reject)! ;>)

JAM,
In order to help, you need to know which model it is. First Edition is
put on every Predator made (except their P2's) the original cue retail
determined how many of the initial run had First edition. Check
predator archives for the model number and original retail and then I
can probably give you a ball park value:
http://www.predatorcues.com/english/archives.htm
The info was from vol 2 of the Blue Book. 100% would be unplayed/like
new. 95% would show some wear, but basically, almost new. 70% would
show some obvious wear. I also gave you the model # Shane was asking
about (Level 4 9-6).
Frank
Shane, it's the 1996 1st Edition model 314-6, originally selling for $1,050.
Any idea on street value for this cue in excellent condition?
Thanks for the link!
JAM
Yes, I was wrong although the two look very similar in the BB. 100%
$875 95% 800 70% $700 original $1250 w2 shafts.
