I have a Palmer catalog 1 butt. Poll question;

1. try to get a shaft made
2. sell the butt

I got this from the original purchaser. The wrap is failing, but I don't
think that's a big issue.

Other:
da bluesman is answering roll call. still kicking, and have accumulated
war stories!

You might want to chat a bit with Randy Goettlicher, probably the
largest individual collector of Palmer cues in the U.S. There's
nothing about Palmers that he doesn't know, based on a number of
conversations I've had with him at various 9-ball tournaments. He'll
give you solid advice.

Mosconi repped Palmers briefly in between long stints with Brunswick
and I acquired a Palmer from Willie himself back in the early 60's (he
preferred his Ranbows himself). I still own and cherish that Palmer.
I had the Palmer company make me a new shaft for it a year before they
closed their factory.

Randy's a very congenial gentleman and the founder of Texas Express
Promotions, as well as the Cue-Tech pool school -- both based in
Dallas. His contact info is:

Also at the top of the line of specialists and authorities in Palmer Cues is
Chris Tate in Burbank, CA. His expertise on these cues is known far and
wide -- also a very congenial person. I can't find a phone nr. for him, but
you can contact him either through his site:

http://www.palmercollector.com

or via eail at:

palmerc...@aol.com

Chris would be the one to ask about by whom or whether or not to have the
wrap redone. Good luck, buddy.

So sitting on DodgeBalls gives you Palmer Butt?

Sounds painful.

good to see an acceptable level of smartassedness continues in RSB.

I've been in touch with some Palmerpeople..one offered a trade for a
complete
Palmer for the cat 1 butt. I'm giving that some thought...the downside to
a trade
is that I'm at the "gettin' rid of stuff" stage of life. I've accumulated
waaaay to much
stuff. Kinda shy to be discussing my DodgeBalls and butts, though.

I'm told it's not painful at all.
sitting on DodgeBalls gives... ummm, well it, uh, provides, ahhh, never
mind.
I'll just have some references sent.

OK, enough tormenting -- at least tell us which cat1 butt it is! (Please?)

Yeah, me too. But my old cat 3 Palmer will be the one I keep when all the others
are gone.

Hey, age is supposed to be liberating...

It looks like a Model 9 from the first catalog, Titlist forearm.
