Hi,

Does anyone out there either have a design layout for a Bar Billiards table
or know of anywhere (Internet or book) that details the design of a Bar
Billiards table.

Any help would be great as I hope to build one of these fantastic tables in
the near future.

Please EMail any details to: wil...@yahoo.com

Thanks,

Jay

I see bar tables selling in the 700 dollar range around here without the coin
mechanism.. I don't think you could save anything by building your own table.

While traveling and playing as much pool and snooker as possible in England,
I came across a game the Brits called "Bar Billiards". Several holes in the
playing field and pegs as obstacles, points scored for sinking certain balls
in certain holes and loss of points for knocking down pegs. I wonder if that
isn't the type table the original post was asking about, not what us Yanks
would refer to as a "bar table". The "Bar Billiards" game was lots of fun and
would be ideal for those with limited space. J. Stevens Bend Oregon BCA

Hi,

Yes, I'm a pomie and I am on about this strange game detailed bellow! It's
refered to as "bar" billiards as a one pound game lasts about 20 mins with
balls being returned to the bottom of the table through this time. After 15
or so mins the BAR drops (it's on a timer) and balls are no longer returned.
The remaining balls are played out until all are gone.

Apart from that the desription bellow outlines the basics of the game very
well.

It use to be very popular in the UK up to about 20 odd years ago. Now it is
an almost forgoten game in the UK... And elsewhere! Well... Most people
give me the funiest looks when I describe it!!!

I did have a URL for a site with the rules. If I can find it again I'll
post details.

Until then it's 1100 UK pounds plus shipping halfway round the world or find
a design and make one myself!

Thanks,

J
