Thanks
Tommy
What caliber is it? Is it lever or bolt action?
Ron
I'll give Meucci a call tomorrow and see what they say on the age of the cue.
I don't remember ever seeing this cue in any of the catalogs back to 1982. It
may be a promo or somthing of that sort.

Tommy,
There were only two Rifleman cues made, I believe. One was flawed, the
other was Buddy Halls personal cue. It had a silver bullet going through
the black and white targets at the end of the points and inlaid rifles
below the wrap. I couldn't give you a value, but Jim Rempe's original
"Crown Jewel" sold for $22,000 and later resold to a Japanese Business
man for $88,000. Jim Rempe's Tajmahal sold for more. If I were you, I
would contact someone with overseas connections, like Cue Stix and
contact Buddy Hall to verify his ownership.
Take Care

What is an "Open wrap"?????
Gary
: What is an "Open wrap"?????
One that is Irish linen (or similar) and is not varnished over. Most
Meuccis that are wrapped with Irish linen are then varnished, I think.
(Well, I guess it's really polyurethane, or something.)

Correct on the type of finish Bob. It is a fire proof urethane. LOL....I
know of a few people that will see an irony there....but I'm not gonna get into
it.

Ha Ha, that's a gas. It may be fire proof, but the wrap is covered , in MY
opinion (let's make that clear now) to save from having to coat in steps.
Time is money, so by putting on the wrap, and then coating the whole thing,
several steps are saved, and this results in a less expensive product. It
may also give the appearance of a wrap, and the feel of a non-wrapped cue.
I'm not sure about this because I have seen but not shot with these cues.

Actually...I don't remember if there was ever really a Mike Sigel line. The
catalogs that I have are from the very early 80's and have he following
players. Jim Rempe, Lori Jon Jones, Larry Hubbart, David Howard and a series of
jump cues under the Sammy Jones line. This spans quite a few years, but I may
be mising a few players and catalogs.

I saw a cue not too long ago. I believe it was a Meucci with Mike
Sigel's signature on the forearm.
Ron
Ron,
The only cues that I remember with Mikes name on the forearm were 2 lines of
cues made by Joss East. One line did not bear the Joss name, but had the same
construction, although I believe that they were made oversea's. The other line
was the Joss Professional line in the early 90's. These bore either Mikes
signiture or that of Nick Varner. I could be wrong here though...I don't deal
with Meucci alot.
