I'm not trying to blatently advertize here but several people in the
Newsgroup have expressed an interest in seeing and hitting some balls
with one of my cues. A couple of buddies of mine will be at the VNEA
Championship Tournaments In Las Vegas. They have brought some cues with
them for this purpose. Of course the cues are for sale but you're
welcome to chalk them up and try them if you wish. If anyone attending
tourney wishes to check them out, contact Gary Spaeth or Ricky Carrelli.
They will be staying at the "Riveria" and playing for the "Airway
Billiards" (of Dayton, Ohio) master's division team. You can probably
find them in the "finals". I think they have the best team in the
country. It consists of Gary Spaeth, Jason Miller, Bucky Bell, Ricky
Carrelli, Joe Brown, Wallace Rice and Bobby Hawkins. Any one of them is
subject to run a set on ya! Bucky Bell and Bobby Hawkins are also Player
Reps for Sherm Cues.

Thanks

Sherm

Yes and Yes.

Bucky Bell is pretty well known around the "Hustler Circuit" and is a
pro tournament player. It takes a champion to beat him. Bobby Hawkins is
one of the top players in the Dayton Ohio area and is always a threat.
I've also recently added "Cornbread Red" and one of the real "Legends of
One Pocket History", Eugene "Cincinnati Clem" Metz to the list of player
reps. Clem plays poker with us once a week and has a lot of pool stories
he's shared with me. I'll try to share some of them with the NG in the
future. If there are any REALLY SERIOUS One Pocket Students who would be
interested in some intense "moving and strategy lessons", Clem is
available. "Winning One Pocket" lists him in the top 4 to have ever
played the game. Mosconi wanted a "9 to 7" spot from him, and refused
"8 to 7". In "Playing Off The Rail", "Bucktooth" said Clem was the only
top player in the country that he played, lost to, and had never been
able to return the favor to.

I take it these cues are your own, and they are trying to sell them
for you. (?)

I know who Gary is, but can you tell us something more about Bucky Bell
and Bobby Hawkins?
