Removing Super Glue from Shaft ???

Yes, I did it ... While fixing the tip on the shaft (during
a tournament game), I spilled some Super Glue on the shaft.
Now it is bothering my game. Any clues as to how to remove
it safely from my cue ?

I am not sure, but I think I read somewhere that nail polish remover
works as a solvent and remover for super glue. Maybe someone else can
verify this.

Acetone should do it just fine, and won't harm the shaft, although
it'll probably eat at any finish remaining on the shaft. Any raising
of the grain can be taken care of with 4/0 steel wool.
