This hustler one includes the time that 9-ball hustler Joe Sebastian
tried to hustle Mosconi with some 9-ball and Willie ran 11 straight
racks on him to take the cash:

Here are the 4 about Willie himself covering about 30 years:

and lastly,the Irving Crane article:

Most of the above are multi-page articles well worth reading in their
entirety if pool history and nostalgia interests you. They're replete
with fascinating characters.

There was a Playboy article sometime in the late 60's or early 70's
about the Johnston City tournament. I have done google searches and
I haven't found the article online. Anyone know where a copy might
live?

I'll have cyber look around. An online version would be quite
preferable -- then at least none of the pages would be stuck
together. :)

Ron,

“Shoot-out in Johnston City” is the name of the article (by Craig
Vetter) in the November, 1970 Playboy.

I'm certain you want the article in an online format -- unfortunately
nothing doing there. However, if on Google you enter the terms (with
quotation marks): "johnston city""craig vetter" you'll see FWIW that
there are about 70 copies of that Playboy issue available at various
prices under ten dollars from a variety of vendors.

Here's one example -- a used copy of that issue available for $9.15
plus shipping:

there was also a story in Playboy about Mizerak named 'the natural".. i
mentioned the article to Babe Cranfield 30 years ago and he became
incensed. he said NO ONE worked harder at his game than the Miz

i also lived in marion illinois and played a lot of poker with the Janscos
. at the golf course right across the street from the bar and pool venue

> Apparently I see no reason for Perry to have lied well over a year ago..

Another gem from Alim Nassor
