Hey, when did Ruthie Bolton drop the Holifield from her name?
What up w/that? Did I miss something?

My understanding is that she wanted to make the change last season but
the league had her wait because of the jerseys (Bolton-Holifield) that
they had on hand would not have sold.

Ruthie and Mark Holifield divorced sometime over the past year.

Ruthie is featured on the cover of the latest Women's Basketball
Magazine and a lengthy article about her can be found in their on-line
site.

Ruthie is also featured at the top of my list of May 25 birthday
celebrants. The Olympic gold medalist and two-time WNBA All-Star, now
35, averaged 7.2 points per game for the Sacramento Monarchs last
year. Two women born in 1980 finished their collegiate careers in
March. Oklahoma alumna LaNeishea Caufield, who contributed 17.4 ppg
to the Sooners' 32-4 NCAA runners-up, has made the Utah Starzz'
roster. Milli Martinez, who did not survive the Mercury's roster
cuts, posted averages of 12.3 points and 6.5 rebounds per contest for
Georgia Tech's 15-14 Yellow Jackets.

Aussie Lucille Hamilton of Canberra Capitals fame turns 33. Another
WNBL veteran, Samantha Woosnam, joins the ranks of 24-year-olds. At
last report, Samantha was playing in Austria for Gustino Powerbasket.
Jackie Adlington, who matriculated at Cleveland State before
transferring to Bowling Green, also blows out 24 candles. Ex-Oregon
State Beaver Sissel Pierce hits the quarter-century mark. Finally,
Shannon Howell has completed two decades on Earth. Shannon chipped in
with 9.0 points per outing as her Nebraska Cornhuskers compiled a mark
of 14-16.
