Courtney Paris just grandstanding - her offer to pay Oklahoma, because of her inability to "get 'er done!" -tantamount to gambling!

Truth be known, she should have been investigated by the NCAA of her
claim to pay Oklahoma back for her scholarship if she didn't deliver
the women's NCAA title. "On what grounds?", some of you may ask.
Well what Courtney did, participated in, was no less than wagering.
Heaven knows how many people were adversely affected by her vow "to
win the title" - think of all the money spent on wagering, and the
reduction of milk money for all those childrens because of the wagers
their parents made, and lost.
What was she doing getting a scholarship anyway? Her father is former
NFL offensive lineman Bubba Paris. Seems like the Paris's would have
a plenty of money to send her to school.
The money Oklahoma spent on her education should have gone to some
needy, less monied student, instead of to Courtney. At least that
student would have gotten the advantage of a good education. Oklahoma
surely didn't get anything from giving Courtney that scholarship.
Oh yeah, and get this.... Courtney says she is going to establish a
fund. One would expect, and deeply hope, that the Parises make the
first contribution to that fund, to the tune of $64,000.
Lesson to Courtney? Don't write a check you can't cash honey.

Am I the only one who thinks the first deposit into the fund will be

(Speaking of NCAA women's basketball, what's the over/under on how
many words in next week's Sports Illustrated are going to be about the
women's championship game? Sure, there will probably be a couple of
pages about UConn, but most of it will be comparing this year's team
