In 1994 the Belles finished second to Indiana Southern Stars, not Georgia
(which finished 5th) in Florida. The AAU stopped all-tournament teams for
all levels under 15-under at this time.
In 1995, the Philadelphia Belles finished 3rd at the AAUs in Indianapolis.
They lost to the Tennessee Trojans by 1 in overtime. Clement had
41points playing with two sprained ankles. Tennessee then defeated
Chicago twice to win the 15-unders. The 15-under Belles won the U.S.
Junior National 15-under tournament in Las Vegas prior to the AAUs.
Clement also competed on the E.G.B.A. (Eastern Girls Basketball
Association) Select Team that played in Paris in June 2-6. Clement badly
sprained her ankle in the 2nd game against Sweden (she had 15 in the 1st
half when it happened). She rehurt the ankle at the Blue Star Elite Camp
in Indianapolis (1 week prior to Vegas and two prior to Indy.)
She is listed as the number 2 hs junior in the '95 Street & Smith
Magazine. (The Girls All-American Team listed was not the team that was
send by the author. There is a disput on this at present.) She is listed
as No. 1 in the Blue Star Index Top 80.
The Delaware Daily Times just ran a two-page article on her and her
boyfriend Ben Davis (from same area) who was selected No. 2 in the Major
League Baseball Draft. The met when she arrived back from Paris at the
paper's sports banquet.
Is this enough.....
