In case you were wondering whatever happened to them, the following American
players are currently earning a living in the Greek League.

Comments on their abilities/potential welcome.
Also, I'm missing some information (regarding which U.S. college some of these
players attended), so if you've heard of the player please let me know the
answer.

Thanks,
Costas

Lampley played his college ball at DePaul.

Melvin played at Alabama.

Actually, Jordan went to Oklahoma State, not OU.

Reggie Jordan played at New Mexico state after JUCO...

Saski must have played at U of Minnesota-??? (Duluth?), he didn't
play for the Golden Gophers...

Actually, it's Evers Burns...

Hope that info helps!

Why is Richard Dumas not on this list? I was under the impression that he was
in Greece this year.

Do you mean Evers Burns?????

And where is 6'9" Rod Sellers out of UConn. He played the last couple
years at least. I don't know which team he was on but he finished up
at UConn in 1992.

<snip>

Where's Pace Mannion? He was cut in mid-season by Bennetton Treviso, the team
Toni Kukoc had played for, and was planning on playing in Greece this year. I
know because I lived in Treviso at the time...

I remember that an arcade in Treviso (I lived there from late March to mid-May
1994, coming just after Mannion was cut.) had something (that I haven't seen
here) called the NBA Jam Tournament Edition. The premise was the same, but
with the 93-94 starting rosters (still 92-93 regular season placements) and
teams came with three players (choose two and subbing allowed at halftime)
plus some things that shouldn't have been added. Graphics and statistics were
better and more realistic though than the original (see below).

The thing was, EVERY GAME, SOMEBODY would take Kukoc (Bulls were Pippen,
Grant, Kukoc...) They knew who he was, most certainly. He had been there
less than a year before... and Croatia is only 100 miles from there...

It sure was FUNNY to see Shawn Bradley get thrown into the stands so much!

What the heck:

The poop on Scott from when he was playing at Rice:

He's a good rebounder and excellent inside scorer, and a terrific passer
for a big man, but he's pretty soft on defense, rather slow, and can't
jump to save his life (and hasn't blocked a shot in his life).

Great fun to watch, though. Really looks like he enjoys the game.

One game against Georgetown, a few years back, he totally sk00l'd
Dikembe Mutombo (Mourning was injured for that game) during the first
half, when Thompson tried to have Dik guard him one on one. The second
half, Georgetown started collapsing on him with everyone and his dog,
and Brent stopped scoring.

How's he been doing in Greece?

From the archives...

Berwald was picked #115 in 1984 by the Lakers. The 5th round...

Actually, the quote was he hadn't seen the "clubs."

It was a joke. According to the original AP story, he and his assistant
(Dennis Tracey) stayed in a hotel nearly overlooking the Parthenon and had
toured it earlier the same day.

Get a clue.
