Bibby is clearly a white boy.
I hope it is not his level of play that is confusing you? Will you be
asking about Jason Kidd, next? :)

Except that his mother is Caucasian, so he is also Caucasian
Still subscribing to the "one-drop rule", eh?

Nope.
I don't think Henry Bibby is entirely African American. And no, I
don't share your slavemaster outlook on race....

I am not entirely sure what his mother's ethnicity is...

That.
"His father is Henry Bibby who is African American, therfore he's Africa
American."

What he was referring to:
http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/jefferson/mixed/onedrop.html
(one among numerous articles on the subject; just search Google for
"one drop rule")
The idea that any amount of African heritage makes someone entirely
"black" is an idea promulgated by the slave-masters, to maintain their
claims on slaves who were born of slave mothers and white fathers.
They even came up with various names for different mixes: "mulatto",
"quadroon", "octoroon", etc. It's also a concept which reinforces the
racist notion of white ancestry as the "pure" ancestry, which any
"pollution" renders non-white. It has been said (with much truth)
that America is the only nation where a white mother can bear a black
child, but a black mother cannot bear a white child.

Sorry, it's not. Try again.

Nor would I care to meet someone with a slavemaster's mentality.

His father is Henry Bibby, USC basketball coach. He looks like this:
http://usctrojans.fansonly.com/sports/m-baskbl/mtt/bibby_henry00.html
His mother was pictured elsewhere on this thread:
http://secondary.lfchosting.com/bibby/new/gpro1.gif
Without doing a complete analysis of the Bibby family tree, my guess
is that both his parents are both of at least partial African and
European descent. His mother looks, to untrained eye, as if she may
have some Native American ancestry as well, but that sort of thing's
always a bit hard to discern from one picture.
So, uh, why do you ask?
But that's not what you said. You said that his father is AA, therfore he
must be AA... as if his mother's ancestry had no bearing on it whatsoever.
And even you can't be so egocentric to think that "what you see" is the
final call on what someone's ethnicity.
And I too am waiting for someone to tell me what the hell Bibby's ethnic
background is. I never professed to know....

I'll let you know. Bring your ladder...
