I'm sorry but Michael Jordan is the most overrated player in the NBA. So
what if he leads the league in scoring. He only does so because he takes
so many damn shots. Hell, if I took thirty shots a game, even I might be
able to shoot in double digits. His field goal percentage is very similar
to many other big names in the NBA. I'm not saying that he is not a
superstar, but to place him on a pedastal as possibly the greatest to play
the game is going too far. Peace, and I'm out.

Maybe what seperates MJ and guys like John Drew (oops, probably only
5% of this group probably even knows who John Drew is) are the
awards, honors, and championships he's won?

That, is what "legends" are made of.

Does anyone remember the John Drew for Dominique Wilins trade? Probably
the second worst trade after JB Caroll for essentially Parrish + McHale.

Michael Jordan is not overrated. He can score at will, he is an incredible
passer, a good rebounder and a fine defensive player. He can shoot over and
around people. He is a winner, he is so good that after years of trying to
pretend like he is not that good I have come to the zen like understanding
that this man *IS* the greatest basketball player ever.

Whatever. MJ = ballhogged, weak and foolish. He lost the game against
the Lakers singlehandedly by shooting a foolish 10-24. He foolishly
selfishly refuse to pass on a 3 on 1 fast break and got his shot rejected
right back into his weak and foolish face. He is a loser.

This confuses me, if MJ is overrated, then how come his team, which has nothing
at point guard and center is one of the best ever assembled? are you suggesting
that Pippen & Rodman are in fact 2 all time greats and MJ isn't?

MJ's FG% has always been very good for a guard, what makes him the league's best
offensive player is that he can create his own offense and score at will. In
addition, he ranks among the top players in his position in every category.

I'd say he makes the all-NBA starting five, I don't know about greatest ever. Most
fans have a fairly short memory and when they say greatest ever they mean greatest
since 1988.

Preach on.
