Is this one of the worst UCLA teams on record?

Watched the start of the hoops marathon on ESPN (good to see some of
the little schools getting some ESPN love, but 6 AM Eastern for one of
these games out on the East?), and am stunned as to how shitty UCLA is
this year, it looks like.

Saw in the papers they had a lot of trouble with an NAIA school in an
exhibition, but they just lost to Cal State-Fullerton in double
overtime at Pauley, and looked abjectly TERRIBLE doing it.

Is this going to be that long of a season for UCLA?

Eh, no biggie. We're missing two starters (only one from now on).

The three frosh are all legit. Jizz has been starting with Smith and
Plumlee2 out. Good D, no O, but that's more than expected. Thomas
might *finally* be breaking out into an offensive player. The guy
tries so hard ya feel bad for him. It's like he always has to gather
himself instead of just reacting. Plumlee1 does not look like the
Plumlee from last year (neither does Zoubleck, but that's mostly due
to the silly beard).

We're going to have trouble with quick teams, obviously. It will be
interesting to see which bigs keep getting minutes once we are playing
real teams.

That said, Coastal Carolina played us a lot closer than the score would
indicate, though that was partly due to slowing the game down with a
deliberate offense that frequently elicited the fake 10-9-8-7...chant.

Disculpa Senora Starcade, pero did you really mime the following on
11/17/2009 2:39 AM???

The problem is that you Yookla fans are spoiled rotten and still
residing in the 60's/70's.

Howland is one of the best coaches in the land. UCLA (bastards...) with
its stud recruits is going to be just fine.

No. No they're not. This is a bad bad team. This is Lavin-era bad.

This team has all the ugliness of last year's Bruin team, and half the
talent...

They'll win some games just because Howland is a evil bastard, but no
one will have any fun watching it...

Except for the gate. I am continually amazed at the empty front-and-center
seats at Pauley.
