In the unlikely event that Sagarin's power ratings are accurate,
here are some implications for the NCAA tournament.

(1) The Southeast is the most powerful region, with a combined
power rating of 1348.90. The Midwest is the easiest, at
1321.04. The West (1328.59) and the East (1324.48) are
in between.

(2) Closest first round matchups appear to be:

Southeast: Nebraska (84.57) vs Connecticut (84.66)
West: Louisville (83.19) vs Wake Forest (83.29)
East: Syracuse (81.55) vs Princeton (79.80)
Midwest: Memphis State (84.16) vs Pepperdine (82.09)

(3) First round blow-outs would be:

Midwest: Kansas (96.20) vs Howard (63.87)
East: Duke (94.46) vs Campbell (67.77)
West: Indiana (96.86) vs E Illinois (73.10)
Southeast: Ohio State (92.81) vs Mississippi Valley St (69.12)

(4) Sweet Sixteen and beyond:

West: UCLA over Oklahoma
Indiana over Florida State

Indiana over UCLA

East: Duke over Missouri
Kentucky over U Mass

Duke over Kentucky

Midwest: Kansas over Cincinnati
Arkansas over Georgia Tech

Kansas over Arkansas

Southeast: Ohio State over UNC
Arizona over Oklahoma State

Arizona over Ohio State

Semi-Finals: Indiana over Duke
Kansas over Arizona

Finals: Indiana over Kansas

What is the combined of just the top 10 in each region I do not
really pay attention to the lower seeds.
