To All:

On behalf of our president Ted "Rock" Knapp, the Bayou City Athletic Alliance,
Inc. was overwhelmed with the turnout and response to the 1st annual Bayou City
All-Star Basketball Classic held Saturday, February 28, 1998 at HBU's Sharp
Gymnasium -- home of the NAIA nationally-ranked (No. 10) and the nation's top
scoring basketball team, the Huskies. (They are also, by the way, the
winningest college basketball team in Texas.)

Between the two games involving players and coaches from all five (5) TAPPS
classes, the SPC and the TCIL, attendance was estimated to be in the
neighborhood of 1,300 plus both games were broadcast over local radio on AM
1110 KTEK.

(TCAL -- Texas Christian Athletic League -- athletes were not nominated, and
then selected, by their coaches since their organization's championship was
this weekend in Galveston.)

Although four (4) players on the floor (Adamo, Boeker, Kargbo and Johnson) had
already signed Division 1 athletic scholarships and another dozen are being
considered for scholarships around the Southwest, nearly a dozen colleges were
able to be on-hand to scout the players involved.

Please forward this e-mail to whomever you believe may be interested in either
1.) seeing the results and may be able to benefit other private and parochial
youngsters around the state or 2.) having the information at the collegiate
level to be able to provide these young men potential scholarships
opportunities to play at the next level.

We were awfully proud to be able to 1.) honor these young men and 2.) give them
another opportunity to be seen at a time when colleges can see them at their
best -- right after the season is over.

Below are the box scores from the games and thank you very much for your time
in allowing us to expound upon the fine young men that we have competing in
private and parochial schools.
