* On the 1966 Spring Training Roster and was a Twin in 1965 but not
on the 1967 Spring Training Roster. I believe Kindall retired to
become the head coach at Arizona during 1966. ? about the others.

** Traded to the California Angels for Dean Chance before the 1967
season. Was with the Twins for 1966 but don't have the stats.

*** Traded to the Washington Senators for Ron Kline before the 1967
season. Was with the Twins for 1966 but don't have the stats.

Ticket prices were $3.00 (box), $2.50 (reserved), and $1.50 (bleacher).
They even had scheduled double headers. Of course, the season started
a week later (so maybe the fans wouldn't freeze?).

Jim Kaat led the AL in wins. Even with 305 IP, he didn't lead the
AL (and they make a big deal about a pitcher having 200 IP now).

Frank Quilici was with the Twins in 1965, spent 1966 in Denver, and
was back with the Twins in 1967.

The 1966 Twins had a 89-73 record, 2nd to the Baltimore Orioles (by
9 games). Sam Mele retired as manager and John Sain left the Twins
(which as I recall angered Jim Kaat) at the end of the season.
