An amazing turn-around for Casey. Those of you outside of
Cincinnati might not know that Sean broke his hand early
(in spring training IIRC) and absolutely sucked rocks the
first two months of the season. He was below replacement
level until what was it, late June?
Rumor has it that he's on the block.

But Paquette only played 28 games at 1B, McGwire played 70, and Clark
played 50. It makes no sense to list Paquette and not McGwire as a
1B.

I wonder if Todd Zeile will be angling for a new 6-year,
80 million dollar contract? If nothing else, Mo Vaughn is already
clearly not worth the money that he won from Disney. Now if only
the Red Sox would play guys at DH/1B that can hit (i.e., NOT
Jose Offerman).
