The bigger question is, when is he going to start hitting again?
Including the spring, he has no home runs in 1997. Hard to believe.
There is a (teeny-tiny) silver lining though - it's serving to blow
the "protection theory" nonsense out of the water.
The other question is, how did the Tribune get the story so completely
wrong about his supposed contract extension being "imminent"? Frank's
response was "I wish it were true". (I wish it were, too.) What
kind of idiots do they have working up there in the Tower these days,
anyway?
