In 1991, ESPN had two options for a Wednesday Night Baseball game, as they could've gone with either the game between the Detroit Tigers and the Kansas City Royals, or the game between the Texas Rangers and the Toronto Blue Jays. And after initially choosing Rangers/Blue Jays, they changed their mind, and wound up choosing very poorly. This is the story behind ESPN's controversial broadcasting decision in 1991.
