in case anyone was wondering what record Kim's talking about - here's what
was on the site:

World Record Was Beaten the 12th of July !

After a couple of cancellations due to bad weather and
jump plane problems Q-Paracenter beat the World Record by letting 7 solo
jumpers and a tandem jump from approx. 10 kilometers altitude over Roenbjerg
Feriecenter in Denmark!

The 8 jumpers were taken to the high altitude by a
TurboLET 410! More than 8,5 km and approx. 2min30sec of free fall!!!

This looks like an altitude record for their area (denmark?)
10 kilometers = 32,808 feet

No, Mike ... I think it's a high altitude record for a tandem jump.

God, I'm jealous! :(

10 km (30.000 ft approx) if supposedly a world record for a tandem jump
(according to the press, which I think said tha goal was 13 km (40k ft).

The goal actually was 33.000 feet, but unfortunately our plane provider let
us down in the very last minute. We had to use our TurboLET410 which
performed very well and gave us 32.021 feet according to the barographs
carried by the jumpers.

Anyway, we are allready planning for a new stunt in 1999, involving a Boeing
727 and the crew from this minths record jump.
