I have been interested in skydiving for quite some time. I would like to
get started in the sport and would like and tips anyone can give me.
Where is the best place to go to get proper training? How much does it
cost?

Look in the phone book yellow pages under "skydiving". Eloy (Skydive AZ),
and
Estrella (AZ Aero Sports) are both available and near Phoenix (I jump at
both places).
