Hi all. I used to skydive in Ottowa, IL at Skydive Chicago, but have
recently moved to the "Far North" Chicago suburbs. Does anyone happen
to know of a DZ that might be closer to me? I haven't made any jumps
since moving due to the rather long driving distances involved.

Thanks much!

Patrick, did you used to fun jump or work at Skydive Chicago? D.D.

BTW I drive 4 hours to get there every week cause there's nothing
better anywhere near. Dan Pearse drives 7 hours. (Hi Dan)

What do you mean there's nothing better? Have you been to the Rock River
Valley Skydivers DZ? Ok, I'm kind of biased because they are my friends,
but they do have two planes and a pretty nice area.

They're my friends too. I think that Patrick needs to know about
East Troy WI from what I visualize on the map. "Sky Knights" is
the name in Parachutist.

Yes, I received e-mail from Dan (I believe). Actually, I just started
skydiving last year and I was extremely happy with the organization. The
folks that work there are a fantastic bunch to learn with. In fact,
I think I jumped with you last year (unless I am getting confused, which
is always possible). I asked the question only because I haven't jumped
since my move. This is partly due to the additional commute and partly
due to having mixed up priorities in which I work part-to-most of all too
many weekends. Although, compared to you and especially Dan my commute is
certainly not as bad as I'm making it out to be.

Well, I'll make time very soon now in any case.

Hi Nancy,
Sure I've been to Rock River. However last time I was there I was
on a dive that funneled and I broke my leg at around 5,000 feet on
6-6 Kelly's back. That was back in 89 and almost 750 jumps ago
though.
Ardis and Rich were up in Ottawa with a bunch of your guys last
Friday. Hope to see you soon also. D.D.

If you went through our AFP program you probably did. I did around
200 AFP jumps last year. Glad to hear you liked the program. Roger
and I have probably modified and changed it enough to get the bugs
out. I have some of the students we taught last year doing 2 point
40 ways and 6 point 12 ways with only around 100 to 150 jumps. We
have some really good instructors this year and the student response
is overwhelming.
Hope to see you around the area. Play save and keep in touch.
D.D.
