Here is something to think about;
If it "needs to be recalibrated", has it been safe to jump with in the

$169. plus $79 if you need a new battery..
and less for shipping, what is this recalibration shit? Their supposed to be
self calibrating...might have to send the sucker to Europe and learn to jump

Now thats very considerate of you , BiggyJim
4 year service plus a battery will cost about $180-$200 depends on where you
are, shipping, etc. Timing depends on when you do it. A couple of weeks
minimum and if you wait for spring jumping to really crank up, they get
backed up.

>I live on a fixed

>in Valhalla
There is no fixed income in Valhalla. In Valhalla, the least of
Asgaard's concerns is income. More like the nightly revels and
perhaps the certaintly of the coming Ragnarock but even then, when the
giants come and the Serpent coils and Fenris howls, do you think Thor
or Loki is going to go traipsing up to Odin, helmet in hand while
avoiding Odin's eye, gurgling some worldly whine about fixed income?
>for sure but DZ's are expensive
And again with the merchant mentality as substitute for an excuse.
Better get back to the party platform or all those warrior budda-kups

>and the USPA I knew is gone....
Nevermind that there are dropzones across the world, even some in the
United States, that were never a part of USPA, politically correct
version (depending solely on the short time when you were jumping) or
otherwise. Oh, yeah - that's a nice whine - "I can't skydive because
the USPA I knew is gone! Waaaa!" Nope, that ain't it - skydiving
exists outside of USPA so that excuse hardly flies.
>don't seem to be nothing but young, humorless city anals left in the sport
What do you know about the sport considering you aren't even in the
sport, considering you haven't been to a dropzone in years,
considering you might read a periodical from time to time or catch
some episode of Real TV every now and then, considering what you read
in an electronic newsgroup, considering denizens of said electronic
newsgroup who might disagree with your line of bullshit and call you
and it for what it is, does not the sport of skydiving make? Nope,
some lameass fear of "young, humorless city anals" ain't gonna fly,
either. Besides, haven't you often said you only went to dz's to jump
- the people (young, humorless city anals, notwithstanding) were
beside the point?
Skydiving, as you've often said, is about freedom and if people choose
not to jump on some given day, (as jb could have but what the fuck do
you know about that?) that's their choice and it's not for you to
judge their reasoning because if you do, as is evident here, you
yourself will also be judged and is so often the case, time after
time, your choices, reasoning, and decisions will be found lacking.

venturing too far from the satellite tv or the internet like so many
inbred and ignorant trailer trash who managed to chisle themselves a
fixed income - like some baboon who's found baboon Valhalla - a
remote and dirty gully in which to hide from that which worries him
and to calm his fears in. Sure, the sun beats down and it stinks of
accumulated spore but at least you can find a grub or two to gulp down

Pay per view? On a fixed income. Well, whadya know? You could be
taking that pay per view outlay and spending it on going to dz's and
giving back but no, you gotta kick back on your chaise lounge with a

The way I see it is the only thing you've been fucking is yourself.
But then, you'll have to excuse me for dodging the draft, I tried to
get drafted, I really did - I was slack on my elementery school
homework, wrote Nixon a letter expressing my confusion about what he
said vs. what he did, scribbled "Agnew is a Clown" inside my locker...
but in 1973, in the last days of the draft, the only service hungering
for young boys was the Navy. Anyway, it was clear at the time that
Rickover was starting to lose his marbles around then so that wasn't
going to be an option no matter how much candy that creepy navy rep
kept absently pushing across the desk towards me over at the center.
As for the other branches, they all took one look at me and suggested
I I go through puberty, put on some weight, and at least be a
teenager for a few years before I set about to get drafted. I told
them the Navy wanted me but they, as a group, just got this disgusted
look and encouraged me to never, ever talk take candy from one of
"those navy perverts." The funny thing is that when I graduated
college, the Navy was hot on me from about six weeks before I was out
and for about six months afterwards. All sort sorts of crap - "I'd be
flying F14's, Top Gun, See the World, KickAss..." - the guy was
obviously a lying puke but he wasn't trying to slide me candy anymore.
Must have been the puberty that hit back in junior high that turned
him off.

Naw, it's all that Pay Per viewing of "The Piano" and "Runaway Bride"
you been ordering that's been cutting into your gas money which is
curious since we have your ealier statement of "I took a bud down
there (to the VA in Houston) last year." How'd you travel? Two of
you on the mule? Well, it must have been quite the romantic journey
for the two of you love birds. Was he driving or steering? BTW -
tell us about your cream puff 98 Buick "custom" skylark, eh? . Gets
good gas mileage, eh? You keep it all in tune? Keep the tires
inflated at optimum?

Well, yeah - you were a huge contributer to all that inflation - labor
costs are instrumental in causing inflation. That said, who pays for
your Pay Per viewings of "In the Bedroom" and "The Sweetest Thing?"
Sure, the credit cards do but either you're stealing from the
satellite outlet, the credit people, or someone's paying them and if
you're paying them, well - it's your money but I guess it's just over
my head how someone would prefer sitting in a trailer watching chick
flicks as opposed to taking that frivolous spending and every now and
then giving back to the sport (tm.) while keeping in line with your
party platform of admonition in here.

calling you an idiot back during the short period when you skydived.
Nothing but good vibes back then, eh?
>Think I'm gonna spend money for

It's a put up or shut up kind of thing. You're doing the chicken
dance about people "giving back" (tm.) so now it's your turn. Bite
the bullet and do the right thing...or just flip it over to Oprah when
you're done watching "Glitter" and "Coyote Ugly" on Pay Per View.

little more than a story based on pretense and fiction. Don't be a

No, no - there was that dingleberry incident the runway experienced in
Beaumont - I do believe you were actually *in the sport*, actually
*trying to make a comeback* (which you have past admitted to - shall I
google it for you?), trying to get back to your "125 - 150 jumps per
year" when the runway took the hit but continued on being a runway as
you were wheeled off and out of that sport which you were only a short
time earlier, certainly not at all at that time ejected from.
>I never jumped a skygoddy canopy in my
>life...
And it was rare that you ever cleanly landed any canopy you ever
jumped in your life but no, maybe not, but then, there was a time,
certainly before your time, when perhaps a Falcon was state of the art
and even "skygoddy" depending upon who you talked to. Whatever you
were jumping, it was clearly somewhat outside of your range of ability
to consistantly and safely land. Wow, talk about a parallell! I
wonder if, after you assaalted the runway at Beaumont with your face,
there was a hue and cry to keep "Screw You Into the Ground" XL Clouds
out of the clutches of inexperienced canopy pilots or just away from
idiots....hmmm.
>well a sabre once or twice maybe
I'd say a *loaded* saber can be quite high perfromance but I think
there's some canopy envy going on if you equate high-performance as
indicative of "skygoddiness."
>but
>they were old technology by then with the batwings and all such shit out
Old technology, sure, by comparison, but certainly capable of getting
you downfine if you were heads up and of killing your ass if you
weren't. As for the Batwing, does it bother you that a REAL old-time
jumper, a REAL organizer, a REAL character, a REAL skydiver with
stories and history and such past infamy as to be famous was a
hard-core test-jumper for the Bwing? That he had *anything to do*
with "such shit?" Does it bother you that Carbone still jumps (last I
heard) "such shit" as a Bwing?
Knowing Scotty, he'da jumped with you because he's that kind of guy
but, shit for sure, he'd be hounding you to buy a shitload of beer for
your aerial transgression afterwards.

Pay attention, dolt. It's not as if I haven't said it a bunch and
it's not as if you don't also use it as a line - Give Back (tm.)
You're often on whoever about the whole GB angle so it's not
unreasonable to expect from you that which you expect from others.
Now, as for self important, ect - what makes you say that I am that
keeping in mind that all you know is about what occurs in here and my
"contribution" in here consists for the greater part in calling you on
the pretense, posturing, idiocy, and lies as well as arguing how such
assessments on my part are valid - coupled with, of course, some basic
ridicule because that usually gets the chicken dance going on. Oh
yeah - I'm a detractor to what you pronounce from your little soapbox
and *that*, in your eyes, is somehow tantamount to being
self-important. Now, as far as hustling nickles and dimes, well it's
what you make of it, I suppose - lots of people go out to skydive
while others go out to "Give Back" (tm.). As for hustling - nothing
is promised without delivery and no one is coerced into spending their
bucks for some service they might not request or need. Sour grapes on
your end - I'm sure there were vidgeeks who were surrounding the
landing area, cameras rolling, whenever you were coming in to land.

Not that you taught them anything worthwhile to practice *while*
creeping. Pretty much came to a dead end after the initial, "...lay

Pre along the lines of, "...now you grab there, on the arm - no, I

Nope we discussed the dive and why it might have went wrong and it was best not
to point fingers at each other, if Ted shot it we sat around watching it while
laffing at the finger pointers. This is where I learned the true value of
video...ya kin't watch the whole herd, even if you do there's a AFF grad thing

theirs no question, even a novice can recoginze a wrong slot, bad body

adrift etc etc etc ;)P

it makes you feel better about yourself, go on pretending the pretense
and I'll go on with the ridicule. My theory is that you aren't really
screwing the VA out of anything (let alone random widows who happen to
be traipsing by the trailer), though it makes you feel cool to pretend
that you are.

Ah, well - and who could have predicted *that* was going to happen?
Certainly not the *organizer* who's job it was to actually assess the
abilities of who had to work with and tailer the dive taking that
important factor into consideration. But no, it was "I ain't getting

Ya know, I've been lucky to be with several different teams that got
coaching from some of the best skydivers (at the time) on the planet
and not a single one of those world champions ever saw much good in

Funny how wrong he (or anyone can be) until theye happen to provide

No better than commentators complaining about some aspect of the media

ultimately say, "See? See? Even such and such is saying it!

I've done a fair amount of travel through and across a whole bunch of
National Parks and I've never heard of them stringing anybody up, not
even a rumor. Rules against picking up dead wood is one thing but
enforcing the rules with Capital Punishment - never seen that in any

I dunno - it happened to Boone and it happened to Crockett and while
Crockett was certainly guilty of tooting his own horn, I don't think
any of them proclaimed themselves backwoods heroes while in possession
of a satellite tv system, complete with Pay Per View.

Sure, but if you say you get your meds by ripping off the VA and then
say that you are given your meds for services, either one or the other

yeah we did I was a young kid and remember the perks well...Durning the war
rationing was tuff but for people who had endured a hard depression prior to
the war
it was nothing. We lived in the country and never went hungry cuz we had
gardens
and cud hunt..The main drawback was all the growed men had gone off to fight
and kids were worked hard like mules...After the war, if you went overseas on
up into the late 50's even, things were cheap. You cud have a nice car, house,
servants, the best food and live well even on a NCO's pay. Shit even in the
early 60's BAQ/COLA went a long way...I had a beach villa, VW,
motorcycle and maid in Italy. Traveled extensively thru europe on leave &
pass's.
All this on E-6 pay btw...shit the Chiefs were driving Mercades....Cars were
important back then, hell one 2nd class
coming out of Vietnam shipped over and bought a Italian car that would cost
over $300,000 now days...kin't remember the name of it. The dumb fuk wrecked it

Well, there's saying you fucked some entity out of benefits and then
there's saying you get those benefits because of of some service. If
one or the other is true then one or the other would called a big, fat
lie Mister golden ruled man of honor.
>
>>Funny how wrong he (or anyone can be) >until theye happen to provide

Well, you can certainly try, but it comes down to the fact that if
when someone says something which disagrees with your line and you
castigate them for it only to later, when some item of their earlier
line in some way disagrees a bit less with a later line, and you use
this line to back up your contention, your earlier line's is rendered
no less suspect and the present line, even more so with the added
result of describing yourself as a hypocrite.

No, the irk comes from my regular rendering of your line of shit,
utilizing your words justaposed with inconvienent reality and ridicule
as simply that - your line of shit. The whole "gouging for money"
angle is representitive of you grasping at chaff.

>
>Your a fine one to talk with your nose stuck in the USPA hog troft...shit the

No, there's a big difference between you screwing the VA out of meds
and me providing a requested service. As for novices "carrying my
tab" and value for money,
1) I buy my own ticket when it comes to jumping with novices and,
2) The greater portion of jumps where I have cameras on my head the
tab is carried by experienced jumpers and,
3) When I do shoot students, it's because they've requested a service
and what they want is what they get.

Well, you've already said you were trying to cause some jealousy and

uttering another lie, Sounds to me if anyone got ambushed it was you
and I wasn't even trying. Classic - your lies caught up with you -

The smarter ones concluding that there's not much of a future to be
had telling each other lies and then lieing about the lies,
maintaining they were merely and artfully "story-telling" when they're
busted.

I don't doubt it but telling lies has little to do with rural Texas -
only an immigrant would pretend a lie isn't a lie because it's a

Actually, you are neither. You made-up a lie - purportedly to set up
some sort of "ambush" <on an electronic newsgroup - snerk>, got busted
for suggesting you were a thief, bailed out of that by suddenly
accepting what your "nemesis" suggested, got busted for that, and
finally, as is so often the case, suddenly realized that this lie,
like all the others, was actually a "story." Nothing ticky about it -
BigE explained it all very well - you follow a monthly cycle.
