Unfortunately, the person interviewed fancies himself an aviation buff,
because of his depth of knowledge ("...judging from the smoke and fire,
the plane probably carried a lot of fuel.") Yikes! Typical media. With
no expert witnesses, interview a local and ask him to speculate wildly..

From the Associated Press:
(Cottrellville Township-AP) -- State police say ten people are dead
following a plane crash today near Marine City.
There were no survivors.
The plane was carrying nine skydivers from the group Parahawks.
Officials say the plane broke into several pieces after it crashed.
Robert Franz lives nearby. He says he heard the plane taking off -- and
then he heard the engine go dead. A second or two later, he says, there
was a loud crash.
Franz says he grabbed his video camera and headed to the scene, about a
half mile away. He says the plane had crashed in an open field, and had
broken into two sections.
His first thought, he says, was that nobody could have survived. He
says the main part of the plane was twisted and in flames.
Franz says skydivers use the airport on weekends.
He says judging from the smoke and fire, the plane probably carried a
lot of fuel.
Sergeant Craig Nyeholt with state police says officials from the
Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety
Board are en route to the scene of the accident.
