For Fang's many friends around the world.
All of us were shocked and saddened to hear of his plane crash. Fang's
twin engined airplane lost an engine on take-off at Avra Valley
Airport (Marana AZ) several days ago and crashed into a house.
The plane caught fire and although Fang rolled out he suffered severe
burns over 90% of his body.
He was stabilized in Tucson and transferred to the burn unit at
Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix. (602-267-5011 ext. 5728 but they
can only give out limited information).
He is at this time in critical condition and not fully conscious. The
doctors are not optimistic. If he survives he faces a horribly steep
uphill battle to recover.
His family is with him and can be reached at the burn unit waiting
room by calling 602-267-9068 and asking for Fennimore. His mother is
relating greetings to him and it is thought he may hear some things.
Fang is one of the genuine characters of our sport, a free spirit with
good friends from all around the world, a world class extrovert and
skydiver.
From video for World Champion TAG 4-way team, to dropzone operator, to
feature film photographer, to pilot, to life of the party, and credits
to numerous to mention, he has always been bigger than life.
Don't stop now, Fang.
