Although I'm not familiar with the prices for student training as I am an
experienced jumper, I can help with places to call.

At Picton: (046) 30 9265 is the D.Z. phone. Other contact numbers for
them are Sydney Parachute Skydiving Centre at (046) 84 1171 and Sydney
Skydivers at (02)636 6322.

If you would rather drive north, the Newcastle Sport Parachute Club jumps
at Elderslie (near Branxton). Their d.z. number is (049) 38 1040. Their
contact phone is (049)42 1114.

Both d.z.'s are fun places with excellent training staff. Whichever place
you go, have fun!

Hi Aldo

I know you said that you wanted to dive in Sydney but I would
heartily recommend "Simply Skydive" in Goulburn. I don't have
the number handy but I'm sure that they're in the phone book.

We went there a few weeks ago as a group of six first-time jumpers
and were all *very* impressed with both the standard of training
and the student rigs. We hope to book another AFF jump in a week
or two. We live in Sydney but would prefer a more personalised
approach instead of the production line one that some (closer)
DZs appear to take.

If you can get to Goulburn I think you'll really enjoy it. They
provide *free* accommodation at the aerodrome which is adequate
and a nicer group of people you couldn't wish to meet. I think
they advertise the first AFF jump at AUS$340, but because we
went in a group we negotiated a discount. Speak to Richard.

Oh, one piece of advice - be *very* careful of the cops on the
freeway this side of Goulburn, they are notorious. The $158
speeding ticket I collected on my way down made it a much more
expensive weekend than I had intended >:-(

Have fun ;-)

Maryanne - Newcastle Parachuting Club doesn't have the "Production Line"
mentality either.

Hi both of you Nev and Maryanne,

Nice to see ya on the net. Here is one more Goulburn "no-production line"
product! I also confirm Nev's Presidency of Skyjinks.

Nevtavichi, are you out there listening? I guess they hanging dude just
got bored in the hanger on Sunday. See ya in Goulburn on Saturday.

BTW: I agree with CherylEF that Elderslie is no production-line type either.

Blue skies! (Can ya believe how nice today's weather is?)
