Questions: is $15 (Canadian) too much for this board, or is the deal of
the century I beleive it is? Does the Mogul Monster come in a regular
footed configuration (hate to have to ride fakie all the time ... except
when I'm riding fakie ... ow, my head ...)? One other thing that concerns
me: will the lack of metal edges make it harder to carve?
If anybody has ridden this board, or knows of any pros riding it, please
let the snowboarding community know. Let's get behind the cutting edge
manufacturers!

JEEEZZZ!!! Crisper, Jack, ... , kids!! In the immortal words of David
Letterman...
"IT'S A JOKE, PEOPLE!!"
All that schooling and zero sense of humour.
And just for the record, Black Snow makes the Mogul Monster. When we
were at Blue Mtn. last week, there was actually one guy about to head up
the hill on one! HA!

Right. I've even given lessons to kids on black snow boards. It's a
really horrible experience. That's the point: even if the original
poster was kidding, I don't want any newbie reader getting the wrong
idea: Black Snows, Mogul Monsters, etc. are not snowboards. They are
kindling. They would have been better off leaving the poor old
dinosaurs in the ground than turning them into those plastic trash
boards.

OK man. If you think that I'm just gonna stand by and let you insult
such a great company then you got another thing comin'!! First off,
Black Snow is the name of the company that makes the Mogul Monster.
That's what I meant when I said that it couldn't be a step down from the
company that makes it. You seem to really hate this board. Did you have
a bad experiance with one or something? 'Cause I just can't fathom why
you wouldn't like the MM!!
: Right. I've even given lessons to kids on black snow boards. It's a
: really horrible experience. That's the point: even if the original

Actually Crispin, I was under the impression that Black Snow does make
"real" boards too, just that the Mogul Monster is not one of them. It
says on the box that they (MMs) come in that they are not to be used on a
ski hill.
They do make boards (more than one model as well) with metal edges that
are just old-style.
BUT, I see your point about the newbie thing. I mean, if the guy fooled
some "real" boarders, some fool just may try....

You also never have to ride it! You can just carry it with you
everywhere you go and look like a kewl snowboarder!!
So sorry! Thank heavens someone is here to maintain order and control and
save all those poor newbies from themselves! God bless you, Crispin ... I
feel shame for all the misery and suffering I have caused with my cruel
prank. Does this mean I can't have a lesson?
Dude, it's people like you that get Bugs Bunny censored with the old
reliable "but what about all the impressionable young boneheads out
there?" arguement. Here's an idea: why don't you worry about yourself and
stop worrying about the rest of us? Do you really thing that after reading
this post some dumb kid is going to walk into Joe's Snowboard Shoppe and
plunk down $15 for a Mogul Monster? Christ, you must be fun at parties.
As the dude in "Gettin' Some" said: "You can't take snowboarding too
seriously, because it's just a bunch of guys riding around on little
sticks ... speaking their own funny language .. and some of them get lots
of money." Nuff said.
Kurt - finally gettin' snow in big O.

:what are you saying, man the MOGUL MONSTER RIPS! they're a step up from
everything except for CRUZ. and they cost half as much. i mean i'd rather
ride a MOGUL MONSTER than a burton. Black snow are made by the most
oppressed labourers in the world, therfore, enabling them to keep their
prices down and production high
...and then you read on and realized how old this joke is getting...

:Hey guys' there's just one thing that i gotta say. Any black snow is
better thatn any burton board.
