10 points if you pick first, 5 points if you pick 2nd, 3 points if you pick
3rd.
If you pick someone and they place but not where you predicted you still get
2 points. Everyone keep track of their own scores and post later. Winner
gets a free trip to the Swedish Vasaloppet courtesy of Oskar Svard. Just
delete my choices and add your own in the space below. Someone else can do

Agree about Virpi. She seems to be on her way to Worldcup overall title.

Excellent call for the women!

Would someone who saw the men's race report on Newell's coming in 5.4
secs back. Were there any mishaps or did he just trail well back and
let off before the finish line?

For those in the US there's a 1:20 video clip on the NRK web site that
shows the finish of the men's and women's sprint finals. (it's pretty
easy to find). Apparently US IP's aren't blocked like they are on

Could you be a little more specific as to where the video is?
Norwegian is not among my first four languages. Clips are usually
available to all on Eurosport, just not the live video feed.

Try
http://www.nrksport.no/

And there is a red box on the right that says "NETT-TV SPORT" and a
couple of alternating pictures of skiers. THat should take you to a
page where the vid loads. Not sure how long they will keep that up
though.

And you are right about ES, usually you can access the clips but not
the live feed. I was clicking on somethign about the races this
morning, and it blocked me....

That page with the pictures on the right is not responding and
giving what looks like an error message: Beklager! En feil oppstod i nyhetsspilleren

Andy was very strong in the qualification, then seemed to get more &
more tired through the heats, getting into the final as the best time of
those not in first or second place.

so what is a guy like Svartedal doing for training? Lots of 10km 15km 20km
races to build endurance and stamina ?? Are you thinking Newell looked
tired because he's not done enough endurance work?? Odd Bjorn Helmesett has
sure done enough distance work ! He's a horse !! AND can sprint ! dang.

hmmmm
he sure seems to be able to SPRINT!!
