Yes, they did. From the place they found him (in a small lake underneath
the power line parallel to the path he had intended to follow), I assume
he decided to follow the power line after getting caught by the sudden
snowfall. Then, very unfortunately, the thin ice must have broken
under him.

This summer someone on Rec.Olympics posted that they DID find
Kjetil Ulvang in a lake that was on the way from where he was last seen and
home. I guess you could infer that he fell through the ice.

:
Ski Trax magazine had a short note which mentioned that he was found.
I think the body was found in a lake.

This is almost correct, but it was later in the spring, ca. June

I thought I herd during the Olympics or shortly after that they had found his
brother, but I'm not sure. From what I remember, his brother was found frozen
in a lake or small pond, but I could be totally off on that.
Anyone else hear anything?
IMHO though, Ulvang should have no trouble dealing with the loss now and
should be back on track. If he does not perform this year, his brothers
death would be a poor excuse.
By the way, when is it ever going to snow here? If it doesn't in the next
couple of weeks I'm going to go crazy.
