royal gorge was good today

perfect conditions. sunny, no clouds, plenty of snow, staff friendly,
and every trail i was on was groomed and nice!
total change from last ski season. i was pissed off last year i
vowed to never return. glad i did though...

Glad to see your post, as I'm headed out to RG in 3 weeks. Looking at
the current & long term weather forecast, it seem as though it's
extremely warm there -- highs well into the 40's. How were the temps
for you? Was the snow sloshy and slow?

Hm. A chicken and egg issue. :)

Did they finally groom the Devils outlook trail?

RG has a facebook page (Royal Gorge XC) where they post the grooming
reports. As of 12/28 they had the Devils Peak system groomed, but
subsequent reports have blanks for those trails. Cold temps and light
snow since then so I would guess the trails are stridable but skating
might be less fun. Let us know - I'll be up in TD tonight.

snow was perfect last monday.
i am going tomorrow to either RB or TD.
snow coming in monday evening. (tomorrow)

RG was great on Sunday afternoon. It was warm, but the trails were
iced up gently, the ski from the lodge to Birds Nest took, like, 15
min. Great glide. Ended up skiing ~40K with a friend with almost no
effort.
