I work for Germina ski company. I have recently enjoyed discovering
this newsgroup and thought that I would share a little information
about our product to interested parties.
Germina skis are made in Germany. They have been around for about
40 years. Before the fall of the Berlin wall, Germina
Sport-Equipment made skis for most of the other ski companies.
Since, then Germina has concentrated on its own brand skis.
Germina has a full line of cross country skis featuring the two
worlds lightest models of racing skis and also the worlds lightest 50
mm wide touring skis. Germina makes every type of cross country ski
except for metal edged skis. Also, all of Germina brand skis are
made by Germina in Germany. I believe we are the only company that
doesn't contract its skis out to eastern bloc-type cheaper labor
countries.
Germina racing skis are available at reliable racing supply, the
biggest ski catalog in the USA. There are also many Germina dealers.
Call (800)300-4754 for the dealer nearest you (or if you have any
questions).
Germina is also distributing Yoko gloves. Yoko are known for their
incredible fit and legendary durability. If you aren't familiar with
Yoko, ask your local cross country ski guru about them. Contrary to
the last few years, Yoko gloves are back and better than ever. They
are available through reliable racing, nordic equipment, new moon,
and sports rack catalogs. Or you can call Germina (800)300-4754 for
a dealer near you.
If you have any questions, ask away and we can share them with
others on the newsgroup.
Thanks!

There are a few others who do not. One that comes to mind is Tegsnas.
They are made in northern Sweden. I recall there is at least one in
Norway, but I can't remember which one.
