should i store my skate skis (190 atomic 192 rs 11) by hanging them
form a ski hanger (like a racor) or
lie them on their side on a flat surface or have then stanidn on end
leaning against a wall??
does it matter?
9 months in one position i do not want them to deform.
thank you.

Not sure it matters. What matters most is wax before storage, not
banding the tops and storing them in a cool place. To keep things
simple, I use the expected wax of the day for the beginning of the
season, usually something in the high teens to twenties.

Here's my couple of cents from a structural point of view. Skis, at
least light weight performance skis are a composite construction lay-
up of various materials that include epoxy resins and adhesives. See
Kevin Brooker's "How it's made" article:
http://fasterskier.com/2009/03/how-atomic-skis-are-made/

If the skis are stored in a position or configuration that stresses
the ski, and the skis are stored in a warm summer environment such as
an attic or garage without environmental controls, elevated
tempartures can weaken the shear strength of the epoxy resins. By
warm, epoxy adhesives that I a familiar with (for constuction work)
start dropping in strength above 120F and are at 70% to 80% of room
temperature (20C) strength at 150F, and dramatically lower as
tempeartures climb above 150F (65C) for a sustained time.

The skis should be stored in a conditioned environment i.e. under 30C
and in an unstressed condition. That is keep the ski ties not tight.

Swix advises the same after doing the summer storage base wax thing:

I took a pair of Fischer's out of a friends attic on late summer day.
Although it didn't feel too hot up there, it was clear that the temps
had gotten quite hot during the summer; the skis were no longer flat -
they had warped so badly that they were only touching on the edges in
two places.

I would suggest a summer storage wax job and then storing them
horizontally on a rack, in a basement, bases up.

I store my skis (waxed) where I eat and sleep. Same with bikes,
rollerskis, etc. If it's too hot/dry for you it's too hot/dry for the
skis.
