Volant skis?

So is Volant still in business?

I sure enjoyed my 1992-vintage Volants back in the day.
And they always made for great conversation on the lift.

But -- they were waaay too easy to bend. I rented
a newer version in '98 and turned one into a pretzel
when I hit a death-cookie from the groomer at an
insanely high speed enabled by the most stable skis
available on the planet at that time.

I had to rent some crap K2 or something at the
base .. but you know what? Even if you have the
most preemo skis on the planet, you don't have to
lock them up if one is shaped like a pretzel.

Not even snowboarders will steal skis like that.
