Just wondering if there are 10, 100, or 1000 folks who peruse this group?

Well, now we know of at least two of us<g>.

Maybe there is some kind of
backlash from the lack of posting?
I've shortened the lines even more.
Maybe that's it?

"Walt" says 42, wonder where that number came from ? I don't think line length should make a difference in posting/non-posting.

Six... now that I'm here.

Speaking of short. Anyone up
for a short hike? No fear of
postholes this time of year.
The trails are nice and firm.
And even if you did, there
would be very little
backlash.

See the AstroPax thread for the solution....

That worked.

What I
tried to
post earlier
is that
the number
of "readers"
is likely
larger than
the number
of posters.

Well, yeah. I suppose it's possible for someone to post
without reading, but for the most part every poster is
also a reader.

So of course there are more readers than posters.

OK, that worked. Now I'm going to see if line length matters in any
way, shape or form. Is it conceivable that robomod rejects anything
from Eternal September?

I tried to post one with more new text than quoted, but aioe ate that one.

Second attempt:

OK, line length is irrelevant

I just received a warning from aioe to the effect that 'we're not going
to zing you yet, but there was more quoted than original material in
your post'. That's kind of a nuisance, but I guess I can live with
that. I'll just have to abandon my natural inclination toward brevity in
order to comply with a really stup*d (maybe they also want us to be
'nice') requirement. I can see their point when somebody includes 20
pages of quoted material only to add LOL at the end; those people
shouldn't be banned, they should be shot.
