The Manhattan Handicap is a $400,000 purse Grade I stakes race,
more important than over 99% of the races run on American courses.
Few race days have a feature race that prominent.

It was just run at Belmont Park, while NBC was busy broadcasting
live from Belmont Park, and they didn't bother covering it,
since the next race, the Belmont Stakes,is the only one they
care about of the twelve run there today.(ESPN showed three
lesser stakes races before handing off to NBC at 5 PM,but they
were busy yakking when the band played "Sidewalks of New York").

What other sports coverage has done things like this?

The World Trade Center towers MUST rise again,
at least as tall as before...or terror has triumphed.
