New Midnight Demon/Hatchet Job Format

Midnight Demon has switched to a new method of delivering content and providing
LIVE coverage of news stories we like to cover. We have found that
IRC Chat rooms can be used to feed live commentary worldwide.
This was done, with success, at the GP Final, and we are doing it at the
North American Figure Skating Championships. We are doing live commentary, much
like EuroSport and Iskater does, but we are using IRC chat rooms, instead of
the web, or Usenet. This will have several advantages
The first of these, is that those tuned into the live coverage do not have
to wait for commentary to be posted to the Web, like on EuroSport or Iskater.
The second advantage is that we can cover events COMPLETELY UNFLAMED by the
"Wiley Coyotes", as it were. That is because they dont know where to find us,
and we do not advertise the address of the chat server we are using, in the
figure skating groups.
I have been here at North Americans, for a couple of days, and it has been
a good competition so far. Danielle Kahle, who won the novice gold, for the
U.S., could, in our opinion, become a possible future medallist in the sport.
This could be quite a competition this year, at the senior level. I
think that Sara Hughes could very well knock off Michelle Kwan for the title. If
Michelle wins, it will be her 7th title. A lot of publications mistakely peg her
at 5 titles, but she really has 6 to date, becuase she got the 1994 title by
default, when Tonya Harding was stripped of the title, since she was the
runner-up.
For live internet transmission, we have a satellite internet connection,
housed in a custom-made 24-foot motorhome, which is actually a converted school
bus. One school bus company makes "customised" buses, including conversions to
motorhomes. It is big enough to meet our needs, yet small enough to fit in the
belley of a large cargo aircraft, meaning that it can be flown to our
destination, and be there before we are. When I arrive at a destination, it is
waiting for me to drive away.
Hatchet Job/Midnight Demon has moved to the future of live coverage of
events. We can go live, which is not possible with NetNews, we can also do
so without being flamed by the "Wiley Coyotes".
This is why you have not seen a lot of Midnight Demon posts, we now do it
live, using IRC chat rooms. The one server we use "masks" the address of a
user, so even if the Wiley Coyotes did find us, they would be unable to get
our internet address.
Our advances in technology will allow Hatchet Job/Midnight Demon to
continue to bring you the BEST figure skating coverage of the Net, bar
none.

Nope, this is come a LONG way since the days of the Partridge Family.
This is a complete LUXURY motorcoach, that can sleep up to 3 easily (though
we usually use hotels, if available). We have all the equipment we need to
create IRC-casts from anywhere in the world. It was customised at the
factory.

Though we DID recently hire him to be a part of our IRC-casting team.
When it coes to covering figure skating, we are the BEST team, BAR NONE'
for covering figure skating. What is now Anonymnous Demonic Media is the BEST
IN THE BUSINESS, when it comes to Internet-based commentary.
IRC-casting improves on what EuroSport and Iskater does. IRC is more
instantaeneous. Those who are connected to not have to wait for commentary
to be posted to the web. We can type it ourselves and send it to the world
instantly. This saves the overhead of having to have Webmasters update Web
pages every minute or so.
Everyone who was in our chat room last night LOVED our coverage. They
thought we were HOT STUFF.
We will be covering the European Championships, next week, in
Lausanne. We will also be IRC-casting the Olympics as well.
