There was an old diving manual that had a diver with a mermaid in his arms
and a martini in his hand. It was describing the effects of being narced.
I cannot find the picture anywhere. Also looking for any other pics of
divers with mermaids. If possible either email me a pic or point me in the
right direction....thanks so much!

Wow. The internet is amazing. Talk about a niche interest (them, not you),
especially the Ariel fan and the girls dressing up as mermaids and lying
around on rocks, not topless yet...

What do you use to check all your URLs - presumably some automatic program
that goes through your favorites and checks them all out?

Thanks, Andy

Hello James,

You might try
alt.binaries.images.underwater
alt.binaries.images.underwater.non-violent.moderated
alt.binaries.pictures.underwater
of the Newsgroups.
Plenty of pictures are there or just ask if you still didn't
find it. I'm sure someone has it.

Kind Regards
Gerhard Beulke

That particular picture was once published in the NASDS (National
Association of Skin Diving Shcools) diving manual circa 1974 (or sometime
there-abouts). Unfortunately, I no longer have my copy of the manual nor
have I seen a copy in recent years.

That group only has "real" underwater pictures (and some porn spam).

That Picture is found on page 61 of The New Science of Skin and SCUBA Diving - New
Revised Edition put out by the Council for National Co-operation in Aquatics.
Seventh printing was in 1973. I got my copy at a used book store for $3.95
Canadian. The original price was stamped inside for $2.95. If you want a scan of
this, e-mail me and I will send it.

Larry -

Favorite is singular... :-) I looked up Link runner, but it only works on
HTML sites? Is one of your favorites conditioned to scan the "favorites"
file and check out all those links?

Cheers, Andy

Not exactly sure, but I think my father's "shellback" certificate from his Navy
days [circa '47-'51] has mermaids in it - but I don't think there're any
divers. There is though, a pretty good likeness of Neptune, and by all
accounts, he's been known to cavort with the occasional mermaid.

Here is a good link for pictures of mermaids swimming in a spring.
