Agreed....racism and hate is not going anywhere anytime soon. I just wonder when people are going to figure out how to find a balance between personal conviction, opinion, etc. and learning to recognize that other people may view things differently. At some point those views collide and usually everyone hates on each other in some way or another as a result. There are in fact people who used to be gay and no longer are. They are in fact of the opinion that being gay is a choice. It is not my place to agree or disagree with them because I have not been in their shoes and I cannot scientifically prove or disprove what they are saying. It is my choice not to hate on them just like it is not my job to hate on gay people whether they choose it or not.

I may not agree with everything in the article. However, I do not see the point in choosing to make Father's Day as "gay day." That is offensive to me as a Father. If we are not going to hate on each other, then there might be some value in realizing that gay people are self-seeking and inconsiderate of other people sometimes as well. Just my thoughts.

Was just stating what they said to me. It is not my place to tell them they are liars. That would be arrogant and hateful of me. I am willing to accept people for who they are even if who they are has changed (according to them). I do not plan to hate on them and call them liars. Hate on them and talk down to them if you so choose...it simply reinforces much of the problems that exist today...hatred and unwillingness to accept people and their right to choose.

Sexual orientation isn't a choice. The only choice is whether to be honest
or lie. Sadly, most religions ask people to lie. The problems that exist
today come from people being bullied and shamed into trying to be who they
aren't. Spreading this false information is the unwillingness to accept
people for who they are.

Again, if you actually ask these people some detailed questions, you can
see that they're NOT actually straight now. They've just learned to try to
pretend that they are. They're very careful with their answers. Ask them
if they're truly sexually attracted to the opposite sex, and you'll see
that they are not. Ask them about the body parts of the opposite sex, and
you'll see that they have no actual interest in them. They have just been
brainwashed into thinking that attraction doesn't actually matter, because
god wants them to have a spiritual love.

Also, nearly all of the founders of the various groups of "ex-gays" have
since told the truth that it doesn't work, that it's all a lie and sham.
That the religious right used them to pursue a political agenda. In fact,
many of them used these organizations to sexually prey on confused and
troubled people, which is disgusting.

Spreading this false information is ABUSE. It leads people to not accept
who they are and try to be who they aren't. There are good reasons that
many states have banned the fraudulent so-called "conversion therapy". And
why every single professional medical and psychological organization has
banned it as ineffective and abusive.
