Can I have it?

That poor B&M can't keep a home :(

Is it in good enough shape for possible restoration and/or relocation?
Is it a possibility for any of the rides or anything at all in the
park?

It ran fine when I rode it in 2005, granted that was a few weeks before
the city was destroyed....

The thing is *so high* off the ground though, even at it's lowest
points that there's a good chance that none of the track was ever even
underwater.

Never was. Only issues were related to foundations slipping (true for
any ride in the park that was under 20 ft of water for 4-6 weeks...

I'm sure any of the other steel coasters in the park are salvagable
(save for control/electrical). Just that none of them are probably
worth saving.

As for Megazeph- damn shame. I always thought it was one of the most
underrated woodies anywhere, and the only one that the Gerstlauer
trains didn't detract from the ride experience. Megazeph's strenghs
were in its hidden surprises like the stellar second drop, and amazing
bunny hill run home.

I was never a fan of MegaZeph. It *looked* totally great, but it was
always just blah I thought. I rode it in December of opening year and
it didn't do anything - no air to speak of, but not really *that*
rough. The next time I rode it was June of last year, and while it
continued to not really have any air, it also got a lot rougher in just
a handful of years. There's really not much about SFNO I would miss.
Though their S&S towers were fun.

Sounds like SF let that one deteriorate in it's last years then, 'cause
when I rode MegaZeph at the ACE Spring con some years back, the first
drop was very solid, the second drop just launched the crap out of you
- very much one of the best second drops anywhere, and the third hill
was a lateral slam hill that I loved. Very much a tough ride - not a
wimpy ride for sure. The ending bunny hills had violent 'sharp'
airtime. I really liked that ride - it's flaw was a horribly dull 3rd
pass - the one from the station area out to the lake turn - it just
meandered through there before picking up speed on the turn and the
ending bunnies. If that pass had been stronger, it would have been
quite near a #1 grade coaster in its prime. I'll actually miss it,
although I don't doubt for a minute that once the park didn't maintain
it, it likely lost a lot of punch.

If that were true, it would not explain the ride being completely
under-whelming when I rode it opening year.

shrug - who knows - it's a wooden coaster. I'm not bullshitting you -
it was a very serious ride in sections the two visits I was down there
(not sure if I went opening year or not). My guess it was either very
moody or they had issues with the wheel sets on the gerstlauers opening
year.

I dunno - I don't hate gerstlauers like everyone else seems to. I think
they track quite well on some rides - in fact Voyage is fairly terrible
since the PTCs were added, but totally kickass with the gerstlauers!

MegaZeph, to me just seemed rough, because aside from being slighty
rougher 6 years later, it was a fairly consistant ride between opening
year and, well, before it became a lake :o)

I might buy moody though. Most of the times I've ridden Villain it's
been incredible. I never at all understood how EVERYONE said it was
this terribly rough ride. Turns out I guess I've been lucky every time
I hit it in the past. And then I rode it this summer. Yuck. It may have
solidified itself as a "never again" ride after how it ran this year!
Now I understand what everyone else says about it!

Sorry. Obviously that should read "Legend is fairly terrible since..."

I can explain. You see, I've been trying to live up to the image of my
hero, Moosh. Since he just got the RRC aloholic award, I thought I too
should take up drinking.

Montu is a lush!

Voyage terrible since PTCs were added? You really are the stuff
(legend)s are made of.

I still have those pictures of the disgusting acts you performed on the
motor bike protoype. Keep that in mind the next time you try to scorn
me!
