My boss told me about a roller coaster in a mall in NJ? Is this
true? I never heard about it. I can't think of any malls that have it in
NJ.

It is gone, as is the Exhilarama complex it was in.
The Tropworld Casino and Hotel had an indoor roller coaster. I never rode it,
but I saw it once (I can't remember if it was a picture, or if I actually saw
it in person). All you could see was one turn-around of the coaster. I don't
know if it is still there or not, but based on what I have heard, I think that
it was pretty small. Still, it would have been a roller coaster ride!!! :)

Sounds like you're thinking of the Tivoli Plunge coaster at the indoor
Tivoli Pier in the former TropWorld casino complex in AC. It's not
there any more. Too bad, since it was a place that a mid-atlantic
coaster addict could go for a midwinter coaster fix. I believe the
Plunge was a Zierer model. It had a tire-driven lift hill leading to a
semi-dark slow flat turnaround to the left that was themed with a
painted night cityscape of the Atlantic City of the past. The
turnaround was followed by the only drop on the ride. Fountains in the
theming were synchronized to shoot up as the train reached the bottom
of the drop, then hit the first brake run. Off the brake run, there
was another flat turnaround to the left, leading back to the loading
platform. It was a very short ride and they usually gave you two
circuits around with a pause at the loading platform to check whether
anybody wanted off after the first circuit. Despite the mildness of
the ride, sometimes people really did ask to get off. I don't recall
where the coaster went after they shut Tivoli Pier down.
I didn't ride the thing in Jeepers because I couldn't see all of it, i
didn't have alot of money and you had to pay to get in.

*** This is Crystal Palace in Dieppe, New Brunswick, right beside the
city of Moncton.
: including a
: coaster that ran around the outside of the dome and dropped about 40
: feet---pretty good for an indoor coaster---and gave you 3 circuits per ride.
*** That is The "Bullet" which is a Zierer junior steel coaster. It has
an unusually long train with 15 X 2 cars and although your 40-foot,
12-meter drop height is high, it does go around 3 times. The maximum
height is really only about 8 or so meters with maybe a 6 or 7-meter drop.
This is a fun ride. I especially like the spiral through a blacklight
tunnel. I often use this ride to get coaster virgins started as it's not
too high nor too fast, and it's a steel coaster indoors. All these factors
help to alleviate newbies' fears.
: that is the best indoor amusement complex i have seen, although i admittedly
: have not been to the mall of america.
*** This complex more than doubles in size in the summer when the
parking lot becomes part of the complex and many rides & attractions are
added. The largest indoor complex in Canada is Galaxyland in The West
Edmonton Mall.
