Ken Simmons
Ken,
I have been wondering the same type of thing. I visited in August 91
(I think) and I do not remember a wild mouse there...Schiff or no
Schiff
Ricky...if you are out there...do you remember more details?
I'm not Ricky but I lived in Denver from 1992-1996. I visited the
original location many times including the last day of operation. If
there was a mouse coaster of any kind at Elitch Gardens during those
years it was very, very, very well hidden. Methinks the closing date
listed on RDCB is incorrect.
I was there in 1985 and there was definitely not a mouse there then.
On a somewhat related topic, Ghey Dolphin Park also had a Schiff Mouse
(wonder if this has anything to do with the Ghey Dolphin Gift Shop up
the street from Peach's Corner)?

There was a photo on the web around 2000 (I can't find it now) that was
of a wild mouse, identified as being at Elitch Gardens. I think it was
on Ken Rutherford's postcard site, formerly on aol. It was definitely a
Schiff ride. Are we sure that it was at Elitch?

Elitch's mouse is listed on this site, unfortunately with no
additional info. Scroll down to find a list of installations:
I have a chrome postcard of the Schiff Wild Mouse in my collection of
Elitch Gardens Postcards.. Since standard size chromes represent views
from the 60s, 70s, and early 80s I would guess the ride was removed
before the mid-80s.
> Ghey Dolphin Park
You gotta be shittin' me.
Was their mascot Sexually Confused Sea Lion?
> Was their mascot Sexually Confused Sea Lion?
Their mascot wasn't a sea lion...it was a sperm whale!
I first visited in 1978 and I never saw a Wild Mouse there, and I know
Elitches had purchesd the full lighting package for the ride, so it
should have been pretty obvious, the park being as small as it was.
The ACE Con was there in 1983, and there was absolutely no mouse
there, but the fantastic Lakeside Fun House was still kicking people's
asses.
