I'll bite.
Disney gets all their kiddies because they grow up in Disney Rooms as
babies. Visit any baby store and you'll find more than half the
merchandise is Disney. I did it for our daughter, she had Disney
stickers on the wall, a light that shined stars on the ceiling while
playing "When You Wish Upon a Star" and more dolls than you can
imagine, in fact, we have 10 garbage bags full of dolls in the
attic.
Six Flags thought they could duplicate this magic just by having more
costume characters in their parks. Nope, won't do it. How many
Looney Tunes characters do you find in baby stores. A few, but not
nearly the same as Disney.
So when talking about attracting teens, it comes from the "Killer
Rides" like you said, because the stereotypes of the parks is hard to
change. Disney had what they call "Thrill Rides" but to me, they're
more like Family rides they like to hype as thrill. And the other
problem, is that each park only has 2 thrill rides. To go on all of
them you have to visit 4 parks. Teenagers don't have the money to do
this.
Disney tried to make a thrill ride park with DCA next to Disneyland,
but they couldn't resist filling it with family kiddie rides. Thus,
you've got 2 thrill rides with the coaster and Tower of Terror, and
the rest is just fluff. Teenagers will easily head to SFMM or
Knotts.
Disney should not worry about teens, they're the #1 attended park
because kids grow up in Disney rooms, and they don't even have to do
anything to make it happen. In fact, I bet most baby stores have to
pay Disney to sell their merchandise.
Now, if Disney really wants to grow Marvel, they'll put those
characters in the baby stores so the boys can grow up with them.
And if they make some killer thrill rides, that would help. But
they won't do that, they'll always be family.

Do you EVER have anything positive to say? Alcohol...ugh. When I was a
drunk I was killing myself, but at least I was happy about it (or
falsely believed I was, anyway).

What I said is the truth and not negative, just pointing out something
no one ever talks about, except me. Disney does get a lot of
business from little kids because they grow up with it, and all the
marketing is done for free. In fact people pay to put all that
Disney stuff in their baby rooms.
