I agree 100% with you. I'm sure everyone knows my opinion of the two coasters
and I'll say it again. :) There is something about MF that puts it above even
SROS at SFNE. It has the unbelievable speed that SRoS can't match, and it
really does have some incredible floating airtime. Now SROS wins easily in the
airtime category, and the tunnel category for that matter, but everything just
WORKS on MF. There is no other coaster I'd rather be riding than Millennium
Force.

Sadly, I haven't been to New England this year, so it'll have to wait for
spring. I finally got a night ride on The Force in the front seat last
weekend (luck of the draw), and it was nothing short of a religious
experience. I got lucky enough to fly past the towers on the low pass during
the strobe effect, and the lights on the island were off to prevent midge
swarming (that would've been gross).
However, after seeing that video (with the Collective Soul music) of
Superman... dear God how could that ride NOT be better? I think what it comes
down to is your preference between powerful speed and airtime. The Force has
good floater air and is powerful and fast throughout. Superman appears to
toss you hard almost every couple of feet.
Man, I really need to get out there in May!

Sure, other coasters have the more elements, but we gotta give the #1
vote to MF to send a message that we want higher and faster coasters.
The first drop on MF is over in a second. You look at the first hill,
and you see how it curves down, goes straight for about 100 feet, then
curves out. Call me spoiled, but I want a coaster that goes up 500
feet, slow at the top to let you look around, goes straight to get the
train rolling, then straight down underground where it can curve out of
the dive. Yeah, I know, I'm dreaming, they need better wheels to
withstand the speed, but maybe they can push 350 or 400 in a few
years.
Ok, so when you guys are on those coaster shows, don't tell us how
scared you are. Look at the camera and say, "Yeah, this is the best
Intamin coaster in the world, but we're hoping for a 400 foot world
record breaker next year here in the USA."
Talk to you later.

Jeff is correct (for once, j/k hehe) in this statement. I rode Millennium
Force many times in my three months and six days working at Cedar Point this
past summer and while it did seem to get better every single time I rode it
(and Magnum almost got worse every time I rode it..) I still can't help
preferring SFNE's SROS. I am a huge fan of violent airtime and while MF is
awesome and the floater airtime is surreal, SROS just throws you and I love
every second of every single ride I've had on this coaster.

I have to strongly disagree here! MF is anything but boring anywhere on the
circut.
I do belive that a few more turns and hills would have made it better though.
but, based on my rides,
SFNE Superman is the far superior ride:
a) more interesting layout
b) more airtime
c) and... this is the big one, I can pick my friggin seats.
even if MF is faster, it doesn't have the bunny hills of SFNE, and that
would count against it. Speed isn't everything to me in steel.. action
is.
I will not ride MF again until the seat selection issue is resolved to
the customers favor, unless there are absolutely zero lines. But then,
seeing as I'm definitely in the 'been there/done that' state of mind
with Cedar Point, I honestly don't expect to revisit that park for
quite a while, whereas I'd certainly like to return to SFNE.

How is MF superior?
By "boring" in the previous I was referring to the layout, and the "tube"
type tunnels, VS the mist filled ones on SROS SFNE.
/b
I wouldn't rank MF up with the S:ROS rides but I must agree that it improved
later in the year over what it was in May. In May I didn't get much out of
it other than the first drop. The rest seemed to go real fast but it didn't
seem to have the punch I thought it should have had. Then I rode it in September
and I really liked it. It was the ride I had hoped for. No, I didn't expect
ejector airtime but I found it has some great, long lasting floatage. The last
speed bump has a nice pop to it too. The curves and forces are up to where I
hoped they would be. I think it just wasn't up to speed throughout in May.
After my recent rides I moved MF up over Goliath into 6th place. I have Apollo's
Chariot at #5 in front of MF. Now I like to ride MF as much as Magnum, which
I still rank higher.

"Millennium Force" is like really good masturbation.
New England's "Superman" is like humping a pumpkin. Feels good, but

"Wildcat" at Hersheypark is like having earwigs crawl in your buns while

MF has far better terain than SROS, MF being right next to lake Erie, and the

MAGNUM, which i think is some of the best coaster real estate there is .

To sum up, S:ROS zooms up to my number two spot. I had no idea when the year
started that my longstanding favorite steel (SFMM Viper) would be bumped not
once, twice, or even three times. No..my favorite steel list is now:
MF
SFNE S:ROS
Medusa (west)
Stealth
SFMM Viper (Sorry Viper, you're #5 now)
What a FANTASTIC year for new rides, both wood and steel. 2000 was simply
awesome. It will be hard to top the rides of 2000, though I am sure they will
keep trying! :)

Its a bad policy and they don't seem to want to change it. Ive voiced my
objections by mail. Others have also.
During the summer that mist is real welcome when its 90 degrees.

I still say that MF late in the day is fantastic. Most of the folks
that had it inferior to Superman were the ones who hit the Point early
in the year and/or rode it in the morning. The rides I had offered
everything a coaster can offer except laterals, which I don't really
care about, especially on steel.
