Six Flags Belgium !

Brussels, Jan. 13 (Bloomberg) -- Six Flags Inc., the No. 2 U.S. theme-park
company, will invest 1.2 billion Belgian francs ($28.3 million) to transform
Belgium's Walibi park into a Six Flags theme, L'Echo reported, citing a general
manager of the park.
Six Flags Belgium will become Oklahoma City-based Six Flags' second European
theme park after Six Flags Holland was opened last year, the paper said. While
some of Walibi's better-known rides and attractions will remain, Six Flags will
add new amusements, such as the first wooden roller coaster in Belgium. The
park is expected to open April 2.
``For the group, it's a question of a bigger investment in new attractions
never before seen in Belgium,'' Viviane Paturel, general manager of Six Flags
Belgium, told the paper.
Six Flags bought Walibi SA in 1998 for as much as $148 million in cash.
