beginning in 1986 as I got to know employees of Wild World, I began hearing
stories of Eleanor. Eleanor is said to be a playful ghost, and not a harmful
one. but on the anniversary of her death THINGS HAPPEN. two years ago on June
15th, as the employees were preparing the park for opening, suddenly all the
power in the park went out momentarily. This was the day that they were
installing the 2nd chain on Superman Ride of Steel (which broke two days later)
AND that same day a raft flipped on the renegade rapids ride, with no serious
injuries involved. Other stories in the past include, a Mishap on the Mind
Eraser roller coaster on June 15th. and a sighting of Eleanor standing in the
middle of a turntable of the Typhoon Seacoaster.
Many employees that I've asked have told me that they have heard giggling and
other vocalizations while alone in the park.
Hall Mansion, Eleanors house, still stands on the Six Flags America property,
as does her tombstone.
Wondering what wierd thing will happen Saturday...........

Also, can visitors to Six Flags America go up to or inside the Hall Mansion?
If anyone visits the park on 6-15-02, please share with us any unusual things. I
love a good ghost story, especially when it's about an amusement park!
Glad to hear the mansion still stands. Surprised it has not been torn down.
Wish Six Flags would remodel it and turn it into something useful. Who
knows, maybe that will sooth Eleanor's sole.

It's barely standing, and the state has a 1 acre historical site surrounding
it, at one point SFA planned to restore it and use it for administration.
On a lighter note, the death in the wave pool is the only death that may
involve eleanor. Everything else was like a playful prank, with no serious
injuries involved.

A comfortable pair of shoes might be more effective.
