For the many who have considered the (now former) chief of the Disney
parks to be the source of all evil, well, I guess your wish upon a
star just came true...

Looks like this old Paul hate site needs to be updated! =)

Oh yeah......
Robb Alvey's 2002 European Coaster Videos are now available!

Maybe, now that he's gone, that ride will become what it was originally
designed to be. (Yeah...right!)
The Peoplemover? =)

Yep! Anything would be better than what it is right now...a salute to
businessmen running an engineering department!
I wouldn't. Pressler came from retailing (Disney Stores by way of
Hasbro, IIRC). It's always been the contention of his critics that he
belongs in retail, not in theme parks. If anyone can turn around Gap,
it's probably him. Unfortunately, he was in over his head at Disney
Theme Parks, and he became another Eisner yes-man. Although, Pressler
was the "genius" who had the idea of having the Disney Development Co.
(real estate types) initially design DCA, instead of WDI.
Sadly, the witch ain't dead. Just one of the flying monkeys (sorry for
that indirect reset;) The witch is very much alive and busing laying off
Imagineers, washing Disney out of the Disney Channel, pissing off Pixar,
and outsourcing animation to non-Disney shops.
If you short any stock, I would short Disney:(

I generally agree with you, though I wouldn't short Disney here either. The
Witch rides the ABC broomstick in an improving TV ad revenue environment.
Wait to see if the ABC broomstick shows cracks before shorting.

I miss that ride!

Me too. I think I easily got more enjoyment out of the People Mover
than the Rocket (then Brake, then Rocket) Rods.

Me too! When I go to the Magic Kingdom, I always ride Tomorrowland Transit
Authority quite a few times to relive the memories of the original
Peoplemover. It's not exactly the same ride, but with an active enough
imagination one can be transported back in time.
Are you sure you're not thinking about Kingdom of the Dinosaurs? =)

And some of the 10,000 Pooh gift shops!
Robb -
Wow... September 27th already, huh? Time flies when: You go to Europe for a
week, then, upon returning, you break ground for a family room addition on your
house! AND, during this time, you organize Oc-Boulder-Fest! at Lake
Compounce!!!!!!!!!!!!
Things have been incredibly crazy here, but the photos have been developed from
Europe, put into albums, the addition is complete, and O-B-F! was a rousing
success!
I can now get to more fun things like getting a copy of your Europe Video!
Please send a.s.a.p.... (allowing from the 'vapors' of the shrink wrap, and
the Sharpie!)

Weekends = Yard Work vs. Coaster Riding. (decisions, decisions.....!)
If there isn't a "Superspeed Tunnel through the World of Tron" (not to
mention a close trip by the Mighty Microscope) I don't know if I'd be
convinced...

Hehe, naaaa...Kingdom of the Dinosaurs takes me back to the County Fair, Frog
Forrest (RIBBIT...*ribbit*...ribbit!), Weird Woods, and Thunder Cave.

For me, it's the lack of bumpy Goodyear rubber tire drive units that I have to
mentally overcome when I visit the Magic Kingdom.
Elliott, I'm begining to think that you're the one sniffing those Sharpee's!
